We stopped for a drink on our walk from Peguera. Hotel Cala Fornells is a posh hotel in the quiet Cala Fornells. It has a lovely situated garden overlooking the bay at Cala Fornells. There is a wonderful view across the bay. Unfortunately, the ash tray was full on the table, and most tables, and the floor needed sweeping. No problem with the drinks, a coffee and small can of coke, until the bill came for ‚?¨5.95; expensive even by UK standards. Is the view worth it when you can sit outside... Read more

My wife visited Paguera some 28yrs ago and always wanted to stay here, so as part of her bucket list, we did it together. You know when you do something and it never quite lives up to it?? Soooooo! I write about my experience which may differ from others. We stayed here at the end of September. From the start we found the staff to be curt and lets just say business like. Not welcoming, friendly or helpful. Here is an example, we arrived on our first day to check in and we had the registration fo... Read more

We can endorse the good comments made by others: the hotel is comfortable, well run, in an excellent location (though a bit isolated from shops and other restaurants), has a good pool, and a sunbed allocation and reservation system that actually works! We woudl go back.

We have just returned from a week at Hotel Cala Fornells. A proper old fashioned spanish hotels no flashy gimmicks just a comfortable hotel in an idylic setting. This hotel wold suit discerning travellers who value tranquility combined with first class service in a marvellous location. Pluses for us were proper Spanish food no attempts at trying to cook british food. An international clientele. No music blaring out no dodgy evening entertainment. The hotel is situated on the fringes of Paguera ... Read more

I have read a previous review in which the writer complained about noise from vehicles. I can only ask as this hotel is only one of three at the end of a no through road, how did they arrive at this hotel if not by some sort of vehicle. As a frequent visitor to this hotel I can only say that it's location is second to none with a view of a bay that is to die for. The staff are helpful and friendly and polite, the lunch time menu although small, has a reasonable selection, but ample to put you th... Read more

For our Golden Wedding Anniversary on 23 April this year we decided to go back to Mallorca in the warmer summertime together with our three children and five grandchildren, totalling 13!. We rented a villa in Pollenca for a truly memrable week together, but just the two of us spent one night at Hotel Cala Fornells, where we had spent our fortnight's honeymoon those 50 years ago. The staff were brilliant. We had a seaview balcony. The building is a bit larger now with a rooftop pool. The ground ... Read more

We called in for a drink after a long walk through the forest. We sat in the gardens overlooking the sea in beautiful and shaded grounds. Internet access was good and free and the beer was cold. What a great way to spend an hour or so chilling. The waiter was quick and efficient with a dry sense of humour that made us smile on several occasions.

Distance to airport about 45 minutes and far away from civilization. Nearest supermarket to get water 15 minutes walk. Hotel has no 1,5 liter bottles with water. First evening dinner in the restaurant which was not nice. The fish had no taste and the sauce which came along was a non identifying something. Do NOT forget to reserve your sunbed at the reception otherwise you will experience the same I did. A loud german ordered me to LEAVE his sunbed....

My wife and I last stayed at this Hotel in 1975. It was then about 3* and relied upon bowsers to deliver water. Nevertheless, we were very impressed with the location then We were not disappointed on our return. The strengths of the hotel are its location on a stunning cove in a quiet resort, its staff who are friendly and helpful, its food, and facilities. The earlier reports of traffic noise are, in my experience, much overstated. The resort is at the end of a cul-de-sac and, although deliveri... Read more
