Hotel itself was ok not outstanding food poor no variety we went out to eat most days also rooms only changed sheets when we left them outside on floor we were stuck at back of hotel looking out to where people walked their dogs and bins were emptied not good at all as we had asked for sea view no pool so this meant we had to purchase sun beds every day which added to cost overall would not advise anyone to stay here

We've visited the Mar Blau most years from 2010 in mid season but never in peak season. The location is fantastic, right on the sea front with perfect views of the Poniente beach. However, to have the best views you must get a room above the second floor and pay extra for the sea view. Since being run now by Port group the hotel hasn't changed much. The staff are still very friendly and helpful. Free WiFi is now available. Food choice is OK but a bit repetitiive. Rooms are fairly basic but well ... Read more

This was a nice hotel but felt we had stepped back into the 70s, our biggest disapointment was no pool so had to be content with the big pool straight acrosst the road ('the sea'). The room was clean but basic, we had asked for a sea view but that never happened, our room looked over a back street, I think the term interesting comes to mind. The balcony was only large enough for 2 people if they were good at manoeuvering themselves. The lift was very small and very very slow. The food was okay, ... Read more

We have recently returned from 1 weeks holiday here. We were so pleased when the coach dropped us off here overlooking Poniente beach. Our room was on the seventh floor on the back of the hotel, the room was basic but clean and that is all we expected. The buffet was superb at lunchtime we couldn't have wished for anything better, there was freshly cooked paella everyday and a selection of fish and meat also. What better than to stroll back from the beach and after a couple of beers enjoy the fo... Read more

This is a perfect little gem of a hotel as far as my hubby and I are concerned and we will definately be returning. Yes the guests are mainly Spanish but hey-ho we are in Spain, yes the decor is a bit dated but every area is spotlessly clean and yes the lifts are a bit slow but you're on holiday whats the rush? The rooms are more than adequate and I have to say we were only there for 4 nights and our beds were made and towels changed EVERY day which is fantastic. We paid extra and booked a sea v... this is an all Spanish based hotel, as usual I only review as seen through my own experience ,i got there too late for evening meal and was not bothered as plenty of cafes next door to it .got key at reception and went to room and saw I was in a room at street level went back to desk and explained I had booked room with balcony, reception told me they did not have another room but would change it next day. when I went to bed the noise off cars and vans stopped me from sleeping first the ... Apart from dissapointment with room I would certainly stay at this hotel again. The hotel appeared clean, the food was nice but not much selection. The staff was friendly enough but it would have been nice to have had a little entertainment

We were in a party of 14 adults. Being the first to check in we received a sea view room, 401. Nice and clean but could do with a refurbish. Drain smells were pretty bad outside the hotel and in our room at times. Only here for 4 days but towels changed twice. Food was lovely and plentiful. Microwave to heat it up if not hot enough for you. No queues for the dining room due to it being a small hotel. Lovely location across from the harbour, beach lovely and clean. Close to shops, bars and restau... Read more

Great food and the staff are very pleasant rooms a bit dated but cleaned daily with fresh towels, stayed for 1 week in 801 top floor which the lift does not go too so no good for people who cannot use stairs so ask for seventh down. would stay again.
