Just stayed at Hotel Joya for a week in Benidorm with my friend. We were there mainly to go out drinking typical girls holiday really. One thing I can say is that for us, hotel Joya is too far from the strip and we did end up getting taxis every night. and being hungover in the mornings it was pretty hard to walk into town haha and there wasnt much to do around the area. there is a dominos and mcdonalds round the corner, but the other places around are small cafes where no one really speaks engl... Spent a week here and have to say it was value for money. The breakfast was ok but catered more to the majority Spanish guests. The pool area was nice although there was a lack of umbrellas and towels on empty sunbed became a bit annoying. the snacks available during the day were great, paninis, pizza and chips! The location is set back a lot and we had to get taxis to the beach or old town as it was too hot to walk, usually 6-7 euro. The rooms were basic but spotlessly clean, really all you wa... Read more

Just got back from a week at this hotel have to say it's the first time I've stayed in the old town and I throughly enjoyed it, the hotel was lovely and the rooms were cleaned everyday, the pool area was spotless, did find the bed comfy but very hard. Staff seemed very friendly especially the lady in the restaurant who helped us with our Spanish when giving our room number. They are very strict about putting towels on sun beds and walking away, be warned the staff will take them off if you try s... Read more

Stayed twice now at the hotel Joya. It is incredible value for money. Rooms are basic but very clean with air conditioning. The location of the hotel is perfect 10 mins stroll from the old town and 15 mins stroll to the British square. It is very quiet due to its location. The pool area is fantastic and the pool is heated so always warm. The only negative would be the food. We had breakfast once and it wasn't good. I recommend getting room only and eating out.

My wife and myself have just returned from a week at the hotel joya, rooms are very basic, they get cleaned everyday, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, i especially liked the bit where the cleaners beat a rug with sticks at 7.30 am, a great wake up call that!!!!!!, we paid for half board but the food was terrible, resulting in us going out to eat all week, about 15 minutes walk to the beach, costsâ?¬7 in a taxi if your round the square in Benidorm, like i say, very basic, but... Stayed here for 4 nights, good location in between old town and new town. About 10/15 walk down to the beach front. We arrived around 10pm to check in, Andre was on the front desk not a smile at all, and this did not changed all our stay, if he was talking to staff he left you waiting very rude. The breakfast was very poor and we only went the first morning as it was terrible trying to get a table. Now the beds are a totally ridiculous I have never been in such squeaky beds you could not mo... Read more

Hotel was nice and clean, room cleaned every day if that what you wanted, food was not to my taste so only are a couple times in the restaurant, old town 10 mins and new town in easy reach, in a Spanish residential area so nice and quiet....the only thing I would say is that the walls are paper thin and you hear lots of banging in the day and night of people's doors..opening and closing, take earplugs and problem solved

Stayed here earlier this year (June I think) for my cousins stag do ! Overall the hotel I would say is great value for money, whilst it was not the most modern or luxurious of hotels it was clean and tidy. The rooms are dated but the maids came everyday to make beds and empty bins etc. The pool and pool area were clean and got plenty of sun, Make sure you ask for a pool view room as the back of the hotel overlooks another hotel and there is not much view. The hotel drinks and food are fairly pri... Read more
