We‚??ve stayed at multiple Renaissance hotels around the world - we won‚??t be coming back to this one. Pros: good location Cons: - Uneven treatment: (1) when other guests walk into the hotel, they are greeted with a smile. When my partner and I come in, the security guards stare at us and make sure we actually have a room key card. (2) the other guests are proactively served during the bfast buffet. My partner and I haven‚??t even been told that there is a menu to order from and it‚??s now d... Read more

I took my family to Barcelona in December 2017 to watch a football match and enjoy the city. Our stay was nothing less than outstanding thanks to the hotel staff and their professional service. They were very attentive to all our requests and they made sure we had a great stay. Special thanks to Chris B. at the front office who went out of his way during our time there.

stayed here 2 nights in conjunction with a Viking ocean cruise. Booked through them as part of this trip we were mainly disappointed with the Viking end of things. Way over priced for what we received. Tour terrible they provided at end. Rooms via Viking way over priced. In future we will book on our own. Check in with hotel done expertly with Diana . She made a great first impression. She is a major asset for this hotel. Breakfast provided in the hotel package was 5star....absolutely fantastic.... Read more

Very helpful Reception and Breakfast staff. Comfortable and clean room. Great location, short walk to Metro Passeig de Gracia and Girona as well as easy walk to Gaudi's brilliant Casa Batllo and Palau de la Musica Catalonia, two "must sees" amongst many architectural highlights Barcelona has to offer.

First of all, I want to say that the staff here is fantastic. From the check in experience, to the concierge, room service, etc everyone we dealt with was top notch. Room service food was great and staff was attentive to requests for ice or anything else needed. This made me want to love the hotel, but unfortunately there were quite a few things I was disappointed with for a hotel of this caliber. While the lobby and rooms are beautiful, they are not so well maintained. Bathroom door scratches... Read more

From arrival, to our stay, to checkout, everything was superb. We arrived after an overnight flight and our room was ready and waiting. A very nice touch! The staff was very accommodating, from the front desk, concierge, bartenders, and bellmen. The hotel is located in an excellent neighborhood and we felt very secure. The roof top bar with its views of Barcelona was a lovely little extra. Mini-bar was replenished daily gratis. We were very happy here.

The Renaissance Hotel in Barcelona is a very basic hotel. Its location is good, close to main roads, shops, restaurants and transport. It‚??s old - needs a good revamp to bring it back to life. Room was supposedly deluxe - quite dark with a musty smell. There was also a musty smell throughout the corridors and it didn‚??t help that there was no air conditioning (or air) in the hallways. Bed ok. Bathroom basic. Breakfast room was pleasant with good choices. The lobby looked nice. I wouldn‚??t ... Read more

Just returned from our stay at this hotel. It is very conveniently located near great shopping and site seeing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I can‚??t say enough about how accommodating the staff in the entire hotel was. They were always ready and willing to help with recommendations on things to do and great places to eat. The bartenders were fabulous! Very friendly and made awesome cocktails! Highly recommend staying here.

Great stay! This Renaissance is conveniently located very close to Las Ramblas (about a 10-15 minute walk) and a 5 minute walk from Paseig Gracia. There are lots of shops and cute bakeries close by and the location is quiet and safe. The hotel itself is also very nice, with a great rooftop bar/lounge area. The guest rooms aren‚??t that great...they are awfully small and our room had a constant sewage smell that wouldn‚??t go away. All in all, the hotel location is great and the service was excel... Booked two nights stay for 2/16/18~2/18/18 for two people. One of my family decide to join us. Emailed hotel to see if we can request a Pull-out sofa bed to rollaway bed (I saw these described on room amenities listed on their website) for the 3rd person. SERGI AYALA from hotel informed me there is no pull-out sofa bed. (false info shown on website). She also quoted me a price that upgrading to a bigger room will cost me $60euro per night and a rollaway bed will cost $55 euro extra. It is ridi... Read more
