We just stayed one night as a stopover on our way home. Really great room size excellent bed and pillows we had room service and food was great and breakfast was just as good. All staff we very friendly and extremely helpful. Only issue we had was shower in bathroom as it flooded bathroom floor quite quickly as lip from slower to bathroom floor is way to low and it is extremely dangerous to have this much water on floor. Should be looked as soon we did alert front desk staff

We recently flew to Bali on Qatar Airways and stayed at the Royal Riviera Hotel overnight while in transit. The hotel is within walking distance of the Corniche and Souq Waqif, but it's location is slightly odd. There seemed to be a lot of construction around the hotel, so the surrounding streets were difficult to navigate at night. The front desk staff were friendly, although not particularly knowledgeable about the area. When we asked the woman who checked us in to mark on a map where the hote... Read more

Visiting Royal Riviera you should pass by their Skyview bar. The view itself is really nice. They should definitely put more attention to decoration and renovation of the place. It looks kind of old and dirty. You can smoke shisha and enjoy the view and Moroccan tea, which is quite good. The grilled salmon is nice too. I ordered chicken liver in pomegranate sause and it came to the table so dry that even the extra sause didn't help. In general the place is quite good

This is a very comfortable and welcoming hotel with some good views across to the Corniche, the bay and beyond. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the air-con seems to get it just right! Very good selection of foods at breakfast. Nice roof-top pool, albeit far too hot for me! Only drawbacks; there are far too many large screen TVs in the restaurant-it is virtually impossible to get away from them. There is a small mosque next to the hotel and the calls to prayer are very loud throughout ... Read more
