I do not hesitate when it comes to any of the hotels in the Design Hotels portfolio. I know it is going to be stylish and innovative - which is exactly what Memmo Alfamma was. We arrived by car - and I will say this was a bit of a nightmare. It is a narrow alley that leads to the hotel and impossible to manage if there is a car coming in opposite direction. Plus there are other cars double parked so I would recommend finding parking nearby and taking an uber or taxi to the hotel. They do have "... Read more

So this is my preferred hotel in Lisbon and this was my 3rd visit and it's just as good as ever. We had a lovely room which is just the right size, well laid out and has the right amount of storage space - our room overlooked the lane but it wasn't too noisy. The breakfast is the highlight of my day as when the weather is greta you can sit on the terrace and look over the water which is so lovely. The selection is great and I love the small Pasteis de nata - as they are small you don't feel gu... Read more

I spent a week at this wonderful hotel. If you can I suggest you pay the extra for a superior room. My room was a very good size on a corner with sensational views over Alfama and the river. The bathroom had a great rainforest shower with plenty of water pressure and heat. Watching the sunrise and sunsets as well as the huge cruise lines berthing in front, I could have spent the entire week just staring out the windows from my room, but of course I didn't - lots to explore in this great city. ... You should never bother staying anywhere other than in this beautiful, picture perfect hotel. Clean, beautifully designed, gorgeous views, fantastic staff and a location to die for. I am looking forward to coming back to Lisbon just so that I can stay here again. Don‚??t miss it!

Fabulous little hotel tucked away down a lane in the Alfama district. Staff were brilliant and whilst the room was a little small it was immaculately clean and the decor was really quirky. Hotel has a fabulous terrace with a (splash) pool offering great views of the city. Breakfast was included in the price and offered both hot and cold menus which were both really good. It's not cheap but it is good. Would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel booked for our mini-moon. Perhaps somewhere that would ordinarily be out of our price-range, but worth it for a few days of luxury. We were welcomed with a tray of mini 'natas' and a small bottle of port; a lovely touch. Breakfast was fantastic - personally, my favourite meal of the day, and being able to eat pastel de nata every day and have a glass of champagne was so indulgent! The view was fantastic from the terrace. Sadly, we couldn't experience this from our room as most of ou... Read more

This is a small boutique hotel located at the end of a lane way in a historic part of Lisbon. The hotel staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. We had a double river view room that opened onto the terrace with our own seating area which was nice. Due to the age of the building, the rooms and bathrooms are small. The terrace was a great spot to enjoy a cocktail and have a great view of the river, historic part of Lisbon and the Cruise Ships docked at the port. Breakfast was included in t... Read more

This is a lovely, modern hotel, with small but clean rooms and a very modern decor. There is a relaxing pool, fire pit, balcony to enjoy sunsets, outdoor bar with a beautiful view, and friendly staff. The breakfast is exceptional, as is the staff. There is a gym, as well, but I recommend walking for hours in the neighborhood for exercise.

We stay for 2 nights for our first visit to Portugal. The hotel is nestle in the old part of the city and very hilly streets. It is also on a dead end street so very quiet. Staff is really wonderful and breakfast was excellent. We were upgraded to a terrace room just where you can walk outside straight to the roof top bar that overlook the river. We were able to order drinks and food from our terrace. Sweet. Our only complaint is that the room was very small, a little claustrophobic even.
