An overarching effort to create a contemporary arty ambience has resulted in ergonomically uncomfortable furniture and fittings! Low seating in the lobby-uncomfortable for all. Outdated hotel?? No internet workstations in the lobby for guest use!!! Definitely not for a business traveller Also quite away from the "action" in the city which is at City centre

This is a great place to stay, just across the street from the Jerónimos Monastery. The good things are: large beds in the room, great spaces, nice architecture. Great breakfast with complementary warm "Pastéis de Belém". Not so good: parking can be hard. It's not central. No nice amenities like swimming pool or sauna (maybe I need to check if they have sauna...).

Well - this was a quite diverse experience. There were many positive aspects about the Jeronimos 8 - like the quite environment in the Belem quarter close to some important touristic attractions, the high quality breakfast buffet and the nice and helpful staff from the hotel. The entrance is very nicely done and decorated with contemporary arts. On the other side, carpets in the corridors and rooms don't meet todays standards. They don't appear clean. Wooden floors would be so much better. The r... Read more

The front door has 4 stars on it. To be honest it is no better than an Ibis I stayed in France. Positive: the location if you want to be in Belem. Disappointments: staff is a bit unprofessional. Hot water not really hot on the second day. Bed is not really a proper double - just two separate twin beds stuck together. No coffee machine on the room. Breakfast starts late (7:30) for a business professional. Bathroom and shower space limited) Unforgivable: no wifi in the room (remember ... Read more

We stayed 3 nights at this 4 star hotel. We needed to add a cot which was no problem but was disappointed with the cost of 40 euros a night. Just thought that was a bit high. Good breakfast. Nice bar area. Our room had a nice terrace with seating. We actually brought food in one night and were able to sit outside to eat. Great location. Clean. Convenient to the monastery, restaurants, tram to Lisbon, airport, convention center. Would definitely stay here again.

I aasked for a quiet room snd indeed my room was quie att the back of the hotel overlooking some quiet back streets. However the neighbours in these streets seem to keep chickens and a cock or cocks start crowing as early as 06.00. This has been mentionedd by other reviewers. The hotel is in the Belem area by several museums and a variety of fine homely fish restaurants. It is a boutique type hotel with minimalist decor. The service is polite, efficient and friendly. The breakfast has a good but ... Read more

We decided to stay in Belem and travel into Lisbon. The hotel is bigger than I first realized from the outside. It's very well located in Belem close to all the sights. The one issue we had was finding parking since there is no hotel parking. This is no small feat since parking is a premium. The hotel has a nice breakfast which we ate at during our stay. Some of lights in our room didn't work which wasn't a big problem. The rooms are a good size and comfortable.

It is a nice hotel, well located in Belém and very close to Los Jerónimos monastery. The room is wide, comfortable, and it is soundproof from other rooms ... But not to the exterior with lots of descending planes. The bed is superb making the quality of sleep excelent. The bathroom is quite normal, hot water quickly available but on the other hand, the bathtub can be difficult and tricky for elderly people because it is high to enter. The breakfast buffet has not a big choice to deal but food ... Read more

The hotel is in an excellent location for walking to some restaurants and a few shops. There's not a lot of choices as compared to a bigger city, like Lisbon. It's across the street from the Jeronimos Monastery, which is quite beautiful. Depending on traffic, it was a 10-30 minute (4-10euro) uber ride to the Lisbon city center. The hotel itself is ok. Our room came with two twins (which I found to be the norm when requesting a king bed in Portugal & Spain). We did not get wifi in our room... Read more

This modern small hotel is located on a quieter road off many city attractions. The bonus is it is very close to my favorite egg tart shop-Pastéis de Belém and they do deliver those to your room every day....OMG, love it! The lobby is inviting with modern design and the room is also very nice! Compact but sufficient. I love to go get my breakfast and extra egg tart on the mezzanine level's cafe. I also love the fact that I can walk around town and see so many things from this location arou... Read more
