Spent 4 nights in this hotel in October while on an escorted tour of Lisbon and Porto. Our room was on the 5th floor and although it was large it was very old fashioned and the carpet had seen better days. There was not much of a view from our window. Did feel that I could not walk around with bare feet as the carpet was so dirty. Contacted our tour manager and we were offered another room on the 8th floor. It was like a different world ! Great view of the city with tiny balcony. Much bette... Read more

A bit dated and old fashioned, old school hotel with excellent location close to metro stop Marques Pombal. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the centre by foot, and you have a nice, big park very close (Parque Eduardo VII). The room was very large, one room and one "hall way" with lots of places to hang clothes on, which I really liked. Wifi was good and free. Staff was nice.

This hotel is dated but we liked it because of the very kind staff and the wonderful location. We were within walking distance of excellent restaurants, the metro and the Gulbenkian Museum. We had great views from our room's balcony. You can get a much fancier hotel at a higher price but if you simply want a comfortable bed and a good shower plus attentive staff, this hotel is just fine. The breakfast buffet is very good.

The hotel is very old fashioned with very tired furniture and facilities. Couldn't adjust the shower handle, it was broken, at least one lamp in the room didn't have a light bulb, the room had very poor lightning, overall very depressing environment in the bedroom. Breakfast was good though. The hotel is very central and it was close to my conference centre and it was rated as 4* therefore I booked it. I think they either need to downgrade it to 3* or lower the price.

This is a nice hotel, although it does show time has passed since the last overhaul and it's not a 4* hotel. Thie being said it is a nice 3* hotel, it has a very good breakfast buffet and a cozy little bar with a competent barwoman. The age shows in the hallways, the rooms and the bathrooms - the hotel needs new carpet floors, new furniture in the rooms, and bathrooms need a complete overhaul. You may wonder why I rate this as "very good", then. I think in the end it comes down to: a great loca... Read more

Hotel that do not deserve its supposed 4 stars. Very old fashioned, old carpets and furniture and rooms are fixed into the 80's. The worst is the staff : no welcome word, no help proposed to carry our luggage (the minimum for a 4 star I guess), no eye contact, no word during the check in (at midnight after a long trip).. shall I continue ?? Please Mr Manager (if you exist...), contact me and I will forward you my long list of claim. What else.. ah YES !!! The safe in the room..3? per night ... Read more

Hotel was good with upper floor room where I had nice view to park (some rock consert, noise did not disturbed so windows might have insulation?) and clean interiors. Lobby and other common areas seemed to be oldfadshioned and like 1960's. If you are willing to have timetrip to diplomatic time durin 60-70's it is the place. Hotel offer quiet and peace.

This hotel was built as luxurury hotel in the 1960s and must have been impressing. But it has not been modernized so today it looks a bit out of date. The rooms are large, bathooms small and all rooms has a balcony. Central in Lisbon, nice breakfast and a small bar . Watercooker in the room, but only teabags no coffee,

I m part of a tour group from Singapore and getting a room in the evenings are always a welcome relief for the tired tourists. A great reception from the front desk as they helped my tour leader sort the rooms very quickly so we could all rest well. we had 2 days to stay here and we tried to make the best out of it. the rooms were alright , pretty dated with the decor but clean sheets and clean toilets with adequate facilities and amenities. Pity there was no kettle in my room to boil water in t... Read more

This hotel is situated beside the hertz rental office where we dropped off our car. We stayed one night and caught taxi to the airport in the morning. I had read reviews that advised the hotel was older, and it was, so was not too surprised. Bathroom was brightly lit, which I appreciated and the shower had good pressure and lots of hot water. Bed was comfortable and it was the first time in two weeks I watched tv in English. We had a drink of gin and tonic in the lobby bar, and they were excelle... Read more
