Taypikala hotel is a very quiet place to stay. Close to the very Cusco downtown but at the same time away from the noise. Most of the rooms have a view to the mountains. Breakfast is superb. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while touring the local area. The room we had was enormous with great details in the décor. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. We had a big jet tub, but the jets did not work. We had hot water most of the time but sometimes it waivered from hot to cold. The breakfast buffet was very good but it was difficult to find a place to sit down and eat. The dining area had a lot of tables but they were just full. Two of the mornings we we... Read more

Hotel was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They even offered Coca tea while we were waiting to check in. The room was clean and very nice. The only downfall was the shower was a bit tricky. We kept getting too hot or too cold of water and hard to control. Other than that though, hotel was very nice to stay at.

We overnighted in this lovely small hotel set on the cobbled streets of Cusco. Near the main square we had easy access to artisan markets, restaurants and the tours and experiences the town provides. The decor is comfortable, the staff friendly and most importantly the rooms are peacefully quiet, a blessed relief after the chaotic cacophony of Lima. If you're coming up this way to experience the Andes, The Sacred Valley or Machu Pichu then the Tapyikala is a great place to stop in.

Really enjoyed Hotel T. Super friendly and helpful staff, always felt safe, perfect combo of quiet m, budget-friendly, and easy/safe walk to the squares. Spent 5 nights before and after a trek. Glad we chose it. Would stay there again. Left bags there during trek, very convenient and safe.

We attend at this hotel for 2 nights after having stayed at their sister hotel in Aguascalientes. The room was much smaller than the other and was a little more dated. On the plus, the staff were excellent and the location wonderful for exploring the town. The hotel was also off the main roads so quieter than others. The breakfast buffet which was included also had an omelet bar where the chef did a great job

The location was excellent just a block from Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun. The streets here are infused with Incan and pre-Incan history. We walked extensively day and night, enjoying the cathedrals, the art, and the lively main square night life. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet was extensive, complete with really good coffee and an omelette station. Our room was large and quiet with 2 queen beds facing the garden. The handwoven tapestries that decor... Read more

I booked this hotel based on so many excellent reviews. Perhaps my standards are higher than most because I just don't understand how so many travelers rate the place so high. The lobby is dirty and really unpleasant -- with handprints all over the glass doors (as you enter) and faux leather couches from the 70s that look like they're falling over from years of use. I was greeted at 5 a.m. (after an exhausting 24 hour trip) by a gruff man, whose first words to me were: "Pasaporte, por favor."... Read more

Accommodations were most comfortable. Room overlooking the inner courtyard was quiet. Breakfast buffet was generous. Staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights. Fine dining within walking distance in the central square. Artisans market nearby. Museums also nearby.
