We stayed here with friends before and after our 4 day Inca Trail trek. Rooms were lovely, breakfast very good, service attentive. The set-up is very unique with various stairways leading to the different rooms on different levels. Beautiful lobby and sitting areas. I highly recommend this place.

I stayed here for two nights as part of a tour I was on. My room was basic but sufficient. The room did not have a mini fridge which I am finding common in Peru, although others I travelled with did have one in their rooms. The hotel does not have a lift, in Cusco with the elevation, a lift would be ideal. They did provide oxygen on request though, which was great, although getting to the 3rd floor took some effort. Breakfast was included and a reasonable variety was available. They have 4 diff... Read more

Had a great one night in Cusco at Hotel Ruinas. It is a few minutes walk from the main plaza de armas, so not loud but close to everything. We arrived and the staff greeted us with some fresh coco tea and checkin/checkout was a breeze. A great, large breakfast buffet was waiting for us the next morning. No complaints, a lovely stay!

It is an old fashioned hotel, very clean and with ample rooms. Bathrooms have been remodeled so looks a bit contradictory to the style, nonetheless thanks for the remodeling! Service is great, checkout though is bright and early 9am!

Stayed here with my teenage daughters and we do not recommend. The front desk staff did not once say good morning/afternoon/evening and made us feel uncomfortable in the common areas. There are so many lovely options with fantastic service I would suggest giving this place a pass. Pros: location, breakfast from 4:45am, hot water Cons: no windows that open, old carpets, dirty plastic over skylights, terrible customer service

Cannot fault this hotel, clean, comfortable and the staff were so helpful in every aspect. We left our excess luggage here when we did the Inca trail and when we returned late at night our room and left baggage were all ready for us, great service.

We stayed here as part of our tour in July 2016. The weather was perfect comparable to spring in Florida. My husband had an issue with the altitude while i was fine, but climbing up and down 3 flight of stairs with a 10 lb bag of laundry was not fun. 1 thing to note though is that 1 night when we stayed in at around dinner time as my husband wasn't feeling good a lady wanted to come in our room to hand us candies?!?! We had the do not disturb sign on the door , so i thought that was kind o... Read more

We stayed here twice on our trip. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are well equipped. Many rooms are lit by internal light wells, rather than outside windows, as we have experienced elsewhere in Peru. This has an advantage of keeping the room quiet and cool, but means there is no view. We would book again.

Nice, clean, modern rooms, good but simple breakfast. Rooms are all up stairs and no elevator--at all! Some rooms open to the main lobby, others chattering and visiting late. Other rooms quite close window to window on third floor, you can look into other rooms! No dark curtains to block light at night .... Bring your eye covers for extra sleep. Service good, some desk girls very shy and hard to hear' Quaint sitting area with antiques ! Unique piano too!

Lovely staff, charming lobby, great location close to the main old town, with comfortable rooms with very nice bathrooms. Checkout is ostensibly 9:00 a.m.-- too early-- and our tired family group (in two rooms) wasn't to leave for the airport until 5:00 p.m. The front desk said that all the rooms were booked for that evening, but I was able to buy the time until 5:00 for a not-unreasonable additional fee. Would definitely recommend to others. Bonus: just around the corner from Jack's Cafe (q... Read more
