My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights as we wanted to do Machu Picchu. And it was overall a negative experience. I've payed for cheaper hostels that were better than staying here. The first issue we had was we requested an non smoking room and as soon as we stepped foot inside it had reeked of smoke. The beds were okay, but when we went have showers they were cold, all five nights. Then we were woken up before 7 am to construction happening right outside which was very annoying. Then we reali... We had a nice room in the third floor. They also have a roof terrace with a nice view over Cusco. The rooms and the bath are clean but unfortunately they are furnished with carpet and you never know what's in it. In general I don't like carpets in the rooms. The staff is friendly but the Wifi is very weak. I always had problems to connect and after a minute I was disconnected again. The location is very central and quite.

We had a nice purple room with roof slope and breakfast included. The room and bathroom were clean. There is a roof terrace, you have a nice view. We had no internet in our room, in the lobby it was okay. It's near the Plaza de Arma. I would come again.

This is a budget place, but a bit pricey for what it is. However, aside from barking dogs and copious fireworks, we slept ok. There was ample hot water - always a bonus. Things are a bit shabby but ok. Breakfast was eggs cooked to order, bread/buns, jam, fruit juice, coffee or tea. The place is a short walk down an alley - watch out for dogs leaping out to bite - one bit through jeans and broke the skin on my husband's leg. That was scary when you think of the rabies possibilities Also, watch ... Read more

My fiancé and I spent just two nights here. As mentioned in many other reviews, that this place was once a hostel and still has that ambiance. However, the rooms are clean with older style sheets and blankets. The only reason why my rating is not 5 out of 5 stars is because we had a problem with the water temperature in our room. We had to go downstairs and ask the front desk to please have a look at our water heater. They fixed the problem in minutes and the rest of our stay was great. They pr... Read more

It's a quiet hostel on narrow road up on a hill. It offers clean rooms with TV. There aren't any good views from it, at least not from our room. Beds are comfortable and shower is working well ,the same with toilet (that's important in Peru). The only thing I didn't like were breakfasts. They were very cheap.

Fist off, this is a hostel style accommodation, not a star rated hotel. So, that is what you must be wanting to book this place. So, I am rating this for the type of place it is. Our experience was great. The 2 ladies that ran the place were very welcoming, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. They cooked us food when ever we asked, made us tea and coffee, and even let us use their kitchen when we had to wake up at 0300 hrs. The location was great, walkable to all the main areas of inter... Read more

We stayed at Casa Mama during a Thanksgiving trip to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Easy place to book. Great, quiet location close to the main square. They booked a trip to the Sacred Valley for us on our way to MP. Nice rooms, good breakfast and excellent service. Would definitely stay here again! Left a pair of prescription sunglasses in the room and they sent them to me.
