We stayed for two nights at the Amerinka and cannot speak highly enough of the staff. The hotel itself is located right in the centre of Cusco - rooms are fairly basic but clean, breakfast is good and the staff really went out of their way to help us during our stay. We felt so welcomed and looked after - would definitely go back to Amerinka and would like to say a huge thank you to all of the team.

Right in the centre of the historical old town, on a walking street (no cars) with plenty to see nearby. Hotel is older, but being maintained. Rooms are clean, and staff are very friendly and helpful Marked as a 3 star, but probably just barely that. Still it is all you need. Hotels in the old buildings seldom have windows in the rooms. Rooms seem to be reasonably sized. No elevator, Lobby upstairs from ground floor. Staff eager to help with bags. Breakfast buffet is excellent in a larger pleasan... Read more

Nice big triple room (we checked in as a family) and great service. Hotel is in a great location close to the main square and along one of the main malls. Staff were friendly and helpful and when I casually hinted that it was my wife's birthday, they turned up with a whole birthday cake to our room with her name on it! They offered great continental breakfast with lots of fruit. Only gripe was the rooms were a little dark. Also the shower pressure was inconsistent and quite slow at times. No h... Read more

We stayed here 2 nights in November with a 1 night gap in between. We booked 2 rooms for 3 people. We paid a bit more than most place were asking for one triple/night. The rooms were in an interior part of the hotel and very quiet. Except at 7 AM when the staff seemed to think it was appropriate to clean the hall in front or our room. They kept our luggage while we were traveling to Machu Picchu and put us in the same rooms when we returned. The hotel is in a terrific location. On a pedes... Read more

Well located in a historic buiding on the main street between two plazas.Nice considerate staffs helped me to carry my case, and gave me a check-in as quick as possible,it was really breathless at a 3400 meters altitude. Besides, considering the price, the breakfast was extremely impressive.

Nice big room with hot shower. We were on the third floor and there was no WiFi. We had to sit in the common area outside where it was cold in the evenings and we could hear people in the rooms taking showers and using toilets. Talking to the reception people produced no results. In fact, the guy got mad at me and kept 'saying here in cusco we have good connection' while I was standing there with my laptop and no luck. Breakfast was descent.

I really liked everything about this hotel, but from our experience, don't expect reliable wifi. The wifi was a constant battle and nonexistent in the room, not sure if that's everywhere or just in our room on the 4th floor. The location places you right in the thick of things and you walk out the door onto a lively street filled with local merchants and fellow tourists. The free breakfast includes bread rolls, eggs, cheese, omelettes, taquenos, fried yucca, sausages, a range of fruit, coffee... Read more

We arrived at this inner city hotel after an exhausting bus ride down the west coast of Peru via Peru Hop. The check in process was easy, and our party of four was quickly esconsed in two small but pleasanty appointed rooms. One of the two rooms was a bit smaller than the other and lacked an extra blanket, but apart from that, the room itself and its bathroom were clean and roomy-enough, especially given the reasonable price (by U.S. standards) of around $70/room. Although it is located near a v... Read more

Service is ok, breakfast is always cold, most rooms have windows facing "living rooms" so it's always noisy, avoid room 309 it's just next to the corridor where everyone goes up and down the stairs all the time, we were "promoted" to 309 after getting a tiny room with no windows. I complained the last day and was given a room with a balcony, if you wish to stay there make sure you get one of these rooms with balcony (and fridge) otherwise follow my advise and stay somewhere else. I made my reser... Read more

Staff was very friendly, the bed was really comfortable and the hotel is located quite near the main square. Problems with the bathroom (toilet flush had problems and shower water took too long to heat up) and light coming from the corridor at night time in some rooms (there's no way to block this light from coming into your room so be sure to bring something to shut your eyes)
