My wife and I, along with another couple spent 3 nights, mid week, at this hotel. Although it is a fair distance from the centre we enjoy walking and most of the major attractions are easily reached on foot. If you'd prefer to use public transport both tram and bus are close to the hotel. We had rooms 43 and 45 on the ground floor. Both were clean and tidy with a fridge, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Ours had two lovely dressing gowns and slippers whilst our friends didn't. This was so... Read more

I stayed here for 4 nights I have eyed here before when it was the windham Apollo hotel and it has had a revamp which is in good taste quite art deco. The room are good all staff friendly and helpful. However I did have a moment on my first night when I was fast asleep in my bed and a couple entered my room at 12:15 at night time! I was very confused having been in a deep sleep and two people stood at the end of my bed having turned all the lights on! My heart was going very fast and I was in t... Read more

A lovely hotel at a reasonable price. Great access to trams on a variety of routes. Lots of restaurants within about 10 minutes by foot and supermarket nearby too. Only about 20 minutes walk to the the Van Gogh Museum.

We have just returned from our stay at the Apollo Hotel and we can genuinely recommend it as a wonderful destination for leisure and business travellers. I had mentioned when booking that it was my partner's birthday and was delighted to find that management has remembered and bought cake up to the room. This really made a difference and the whole hotel had a great feel to it, it was great to see staff look relaxed and cheerful with guests.

Had a great experience at the hotel and the service was wonderful. Especially enjoyed the food at the dinner/bar area as well as the wonderful breakfast buffet! Excellent! Our only complaint was the concierge recommended the 'back' restaurant down a long hall (can't remember the name) for a good steak. He took us back there and asked a hostess if there were any openings (they were out of voice range). She said no they were booked. He then went and spoke with a manager in another area and they t... Upon arrival we had excellent service from Hamid, the concierge, who was also very helpful throughout our stay. Front desk associate Leanne was also very helpful with all questions and issues. We had a great upgraded room overlooking the canal, room was spacious, had a very comfortable bed, & had good internet service. We are Starwood gold members and were treated as such, with great service, a free upgrade, free internet and free water, all were life savers, being in a foreign country. The hot... Read more

What a great hotel. From the welcoming staff to our allocated room. We were kindly given an upgraded room which had lovely canal views. It was very pleasant and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and nice touches such as dressing gowns. The location was also perfect for us, with a 20 minute stroll to the museum quarter and a few minutes walk to a regular tram service servicing into the heart of the city. We also enjoyed the restaurants and cafes of the De Pijp area, again a short... Read more

I stayed at Apollo Hotel while taking a short 3-day trip in Amsterdam. I took the hotel free shuttle bus, which was just outside of the arrival hall of airport Schiphol, no reservation required. Hotel is located south Amsterdam with easy access to tram and bus with the advantage of close to the city and countryside. Choices of super market, cafe, and restaurants are available in 20 minute walking distance. I was offered the room with lake view with magnificent sunrise and sunset. The room is cle... Read more
