Booked two rooms at the hotel, for two of my bosses - both for two nights each. My first boss turned up and was told he only had a room for one night (even though his booking clearly said 2 nights). Second boss turned up at 10pm to be told she didn't have a room as it had been cancelled - very odd, as I'd arranged for some documents to be couriered to her and hotel put the documents in her room ready for her arrival. From first to last the service at this hotel was outstanding. Management has a committment to customer service that shines through in everyone we encountered here. The room we were given on arrival had a wonderful view, the facilities are modern, the building is historic and the location was just right. Public transportation was easily available and the most convenient way to get around the city.

Have been sleeping here for a weekend with a friend. The room (314) has exceeded all of my wishes and was very luxurious and spacious. Furthermore, the service of the hotel was incredible especially Michael from the breakfast team was a great helping hand. The hotel brings back the 5 star service to Amsterdam as how it should be. Intimate and personal.

We Stayed at the NH Collection Hotel Doelen in Amsterdam and it was a GREAT Hotel and the staff was Fabulous! Cudios to Bram Meijer and Sandy in Guest Relations, Guido the Hotel Greeter and all around guy... He can do everything! Bram and Sandy guided us with tours, things to do, places to eat, and Sandy set us up to take a train to Germany. If it wasn't for them we would not have done as much as we did.! My daughter and I stayed for four nights and were delighted with the hotel. The situation was excellent, our room more than comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. I find continental pillows too plumped and hard and the lovely Natasha found me a suitable pillow from a sister hotel. How is that for service? Hotel was with in easy walking distance from all the city life of Amsterdam. Rooms were cleaned everyday even if you got up late. Staff helpful and friendly. On the last day you have to be out of your room at noon which was fine as the hotel staff will look after your luggage until your departure time which is great as you can then spend the rest of your last hours in Amsterdam luggage free.

We stayed 4 nights with my wife in a premium room with view. We arrived at around 11:30am and the reception staff told us that the room is not ready and we have to wait 1 or 2 hours bla bla bla..Then, we left our luggages, went for a walk and came back at around 14:30pm and they told us same "the hotel is full, your room is getting ready official check in time is 15:00 bla bla bla" Then we sit on the seats in reception area and started to sleep&wait. I stayed in this hotel during a week end and had a great time ! The room was beautiful and had a view on the canals, the staff was great and very helpful, the breakfast was delicious and includes a lot of choice (6 fresh juices, smoked salmon, fresh omelettes, benedict eggs...) and finally the location was perfect, in a very nice and central part of Amsterdam.

A beautiful old hotel, recently renovated, and perfectly located. A place where you feel comfortable from the moment you are greeted by Guido at the door. The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff is exceptional. Bram, at the guest desk, provided great advice on restaurants, museums, places to visit, etc. He made a restaurant reservation and booked tickets to a museum for us. This october me and my mother decided to pay a visit to good old amsterdam, and she booked this hotel when we got there, we had a bad feeling....there was a problem with our reservation....either we, the hotel or the site we made the reservations trougth....has goffed up, and our especif request for twin beds was no wehre to be found.
