Hotel V is great value for money. We paid 94 euros for a standard double room for one night, including breakfast (fee paid in advance and non-refundable). The staff were really friendly and helpful (I can't understand the reivews that claim the staff were unhelpful or rude... I can only guess that it was the guests who were awkward and rude!). Convenient location (30 min walk from train station. We walked into the centre of Amsterdam but it's also very easy to get a tram from outside the hote... Read more

Where do I start, the welcome was really unwelcoming ...we arrived at 20 past 1 to be told instantly that rooms were available to then be told to fill a form provide ID, and pay a surcharge of 12EUR all perfectly normal, in the space of 5 minutes we were then informed that actually no rooms were available and that we had to come back at 2PM. The woman was abrupt and proceeded to explain when asked about the Tax fee why it wasn't included in the all inclusive price that it was normal and it's cha... Read more

The room was great for a quick change and the bed was very comfy. Rooms wernt noisy and the breakfast was a great cold choice. The staff were so helpful and gave us lots of great tips. The only reason iv not rated this hotel as a 5 is the lack of drink making facilities in the room. The lobby has a great fire and the cocktails were fab. Overall a great hotel and we would definitely return

Lovely hotel, with a lovely fireplace as you walk into the lobby. The room was nice, I expected it to be a bit bigger as it was a superior room but was comfortable. As our room was located in another building next to the main hotel, we were on the groud floor and at the edge of the building, making it quite noisey especially when trying to sleep. Maybe if the windows were double glazed it wouldnt have sounded like the windows were open. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay and would reccommended thi... Read more

Had an overnight as part of a planned layover enroute to Zürich. Easy transport links to Schipol, train access to canal district. Modern and clean with comfortable rooms (albeit, on the smaller side) If you tend to spend a lot of time in your room, spend the money and stay at a Starwood hotel. If you like funky little boutiques with great staff and unique feel, this is a great option in a very social town.

We stayed here for four nights in late December. The hotel has great transport links to the city centre. There's a tram stop directly outside the front door which takes you to wherever you need to be. However what really let the hotel down for us was the breakfast - what a shambles! It's served in the main bar/lounge area of the hotel and get's very crowded. It's a continental selection and very poor at that. No toast, eggs etc. The put everything on large trays which sit onto of the bar co... Read more

Hotel was good for what we needed. The standard double room was tiny but it is well kept and clean. We got to the hotel via the train from Amsterdam airport to Amsterdam Central, then got a taxi to the hotel but you could take the tram 4 to the hotel which stops just outside hotel v. Staff ask for your room keys whenever you leave the hotel which is unusual but understandable. Safe in the room but no kettles etc

The photos have been very cleverly edited as the tiny rooms are more hostel like with little more than a bed and at over £100 a night there are many other hotels in the area much nicer for the same price. Our room was beyond freezing and we had to be moved twice before finding one with decent heat. We were the ones doing the running around as staff seem to be pretty uninterested that we were unhappy. There is no dressing table or mirror to get ready and the shower doesn't have a door so the... Read more

Not too far from centre but get the no 4 tram. Room was small but nice. Breakfast is rubbish no bacon or sausage so didn't eat it. Loved the shower. There's a hot helpful guy on reception. 7/10. Under the bed could be hoovered but the room was clean. Good heating in the room. Nice to chill out in at times.
