My wife and I took our two teenage granddaughters to the spa, and we all had a great time. It's very clean, and the staff is efficient and friendly. The complex is huge, with at least 8 big conventional swimming pools. The spa part is in the back right on the lake shore, and contains 6 concrete tubs plus two rock "igloos" that are used as steam rooms. It costs 260 pesos for adults to enter the complex, and 140 or 150 pesos more to enter the spa section. We bypassed the main part and went... Read more

We went here to celebrate father's day. The place is clean, has a lot of pools of different sizes and temperature. The steam bath is so great. Just wanted to stay there all day. They have a very active recycling program and use solar power for their rooms. I enjoyed it there. Will come back.

We have been bringing groups of people from Canada every year for over twenty years to this amazing setting. The spa facilities are pools, steam baths, massages. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. And the staff are always there to help and support with a friendly smile. It is a truly great place to get away, relax and nourish yourself at all levels of your being. The lakeside area is magical. We love it and are glad to be going back in 2018. Highly recommended.

The balneario is a really great place. We stayed at the hotel for two nights with family and got 3 rooms next to each other on the ground floor. Ground floor rooms have easy access to everything, however 2nd level rooms would have better views... The pools themselves are really great, the kids and adults all had a great time!

Stopped by for another visit on our way back to the states, on previous comments I spoke on the staff and management well that has not changed this place is fantastic, but I would like to mention, this time we traveled with our pets which they DO NOT allow at the spa. I found a place to put our Dobie and shepherd it's called Dee's place it's on the road to chapala can't say enough great things about this place, all the animals have there own hotel type room, limited space , book early..

This place is huge with many amenities. I didn't use the big pools, only the spa area to enjoy all the hot tubs and a massage afterwards. The spa area was clean, and if you do decide to enjoy this place, make sure you leave enough time. There are several tubs with a lake view to enjoy, and there is a specific protocol in which tubs are used first, second, etc. There is also a steam room area to use, and places to just sit and chill out. Guests are not issued a locker like other spas I've been to... Read more

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a spa/hot springs resort. We visited twice and plan at least one more time before we return home. Easy to get to and if riding the bus(recommended) just look for the sign and let the driver know you are getting off there.(West of Ajijic) They are all familiar with this extremely popular location and the staff is wonderful. Keep walking around the main lap pool and hotel pools and look towards the lake. The walkway to the Spa hot springs pools is acc... Read more

I heard that the spas were a must-visit so when I had the opportunity to go to Ajijic, I decided to stop by and see what all the rage was about. Overall, this spa did not disappoint. You have to pay $240 pesos for entry into the area and then an additional $105+ pesos for the spa services. The basic spa was $105 pesos pp for approximately 1hr 45min total in 3 different pools. After you pay, you wait in a waiting area until the first pool becomes available. Refreshments are available and included... Read more

just came back yesterday from a couple days in Guadalaja and 3 nights at Hotel Balneario. I wholeheartedly recommend the place. we went to the spa 2 times. my wife loved the mud bath, relaxing in the spa tubs and the temazcal (steam room). There were many pools, hot tubs, restaurants and the spa right there with the hotel. I will especially remember being covered in the spa mud, on the beach waiting for the mud to dry, horses running free on the beach, and the mountains in the background... Read more
