I gave Puerto de Luna a 5 rating, not because it's the best or most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed at, but because of a combination of things that met my needs and wants. The staff, and in particular the young woman that was working registration, were absolutely wonderful. I drove to Puerto Vallarta on a "spur of the moment" decision on a Monday, from my home in San Juan Cosala. I was on a mission to find chewing tobacco (Copenhagen Snuff), because the store I normally buy from in Ajijic ran o... Read more

We enjoyed our stay here. The superior suite was large, including 2 bathrooms, a full (but meagerly equipped) kitchen, and comfortable king-size bed. Many of the desk staff had limited English, which confounded a problem with the door key being difficult to use. We would consider staying here again.!

We loved the location, the pool, and the magnificent gardens. Staff was professional, helpful. We had a superior suite with full kitchen, Unit was roomy, good actually units, good WiFi, a very pleasant experience overall.

A year ago, we nearly had to sleep on the streets of Puerto Vallarta when our flight was cancelled and we were unable to find a hotel that would take us and a puppy we were bringing back to the U.S. We were turned away from one hotel after another. Finally, with the help of a cab driver and a hefty "tip" to the desk clerk, we obtained a room in a dingy hotel on a side street in old town. We were required to keep the pup in a crate. Fortunately, we had one. This year, we were once again in Puert... Read more

This was our second stay. On check out they charged us 100 pesos $6 for a mark on a towel we didn't use. We had no proof it even came from our room! There was no manager on duty to discuss this with and we were extremely embarrassed in front of a lobby full of people We have travelled extensively throughout the world and have NEVER been treated this way It's not the 100 pesos that offends us but the thought we may have been used as a way to wring an extra $6 from us No customer service whatso... The standard hotel room have stair access only, no fridge, no coffee maker, 1 chair with a small table and no usable balcony. The superior suites are differently equipped and have a balcony, therefore look at them first! The pool is quite nice, but it needs some repair and some help of solar heat. Lounges and comfy chairs are too few. The terrace restaurant closes after breakfast, the food is good, but the coffee is way to weak for my taste, Salvation is found behind the main gate right at the c... Read more

This was the first time we decided to travel to PV and not go All Inclusive. We stayed at this hotel from April 6 - April 15 2016, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The rooms were just as described on the website. Super friendly staff, from the front desk staff through to the guard at the gate. We stayed in a superior suite, and to our pleasant surprise, the room looked exactly like the pictures. There was a tv in the living room, but not in the bedroom. So we moved the tv each night... We stayed in a 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite from February 10 - 24. While not fancy and in need of a few upgrades, the hotel totally met our expectations of a Mexican 3-star hotel. The kitchen was equipped with the basics, the bed was comfortable and clean, bathrooms are dated but everything worked ... always hot water, new toilets. TV was adequate with several English channels, newer AC. The pool was very nice. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. It's a great location close to buses a... Read more
