It is mostly spanish speaking people but if you are a fair enough person to give the locals a try you will learn a lot of spanish and about their culture. I felt safe and at home. Danny, Ricardo, Armando, Ramon, Miranda, Ivan at the pool bar and chivalo, Manuel the bell boy is amazing as well. Thanks see you again vamar

I should start by saying that Vamar Vallarta (and Puerto Vallarta) was not our first choice for vacation. After Hurricane Matthew ruined our planned trip to an amazing resort in Jamaica, we booked Vamar super last-minute and it took us 14 hours of travel to get there. So, we were pretty weary by the time we landed there. We're also Americans who have been to Mexico and all-inclusive resorts several times before, all of which I would say were at least fairly "Americanized" by our standards - mean... Read more

We booked the Vamar Vallarta one week before we were to leave for Mexico. We found the Vamar to offer much more than we wanted. We found the staff to be amazingly friendly, and I would like to especially commend Manuel the bellman for really making us feel welcomed at the resort. We found that all the staff really seemed to take pride in the resort and pride in their work, and that made the stay feel so relaxed. The drinks were great, the food was good, the pools were beautiful. It was a v... Read more

From the time we arrived, we knew we would love it here! Right away we received excellent service. Excellent service from all of the staff. The food was very good and lots of variety. The Italian restaurant staff was very attentive. On our last day they presented us with a plate of their 3 desserts with a "have a safe trip home with our names" written in chocolate. I highly recommend this resort!

We checked in here later in the day last week and were a little concerned upon arrival. Its a very basic looking resort. We were greeted warmly and taken to our rooms. We had requested two rooms with double bed (for our family of 5) as close to each other as possible so our young adult children and us wouldn't have to cross the resort to visit. Our rooms were spacious with a living room, kitchen (no fridge) and bedroom. We had big smiles until we got to the bedroom. King bed. Got a call from o... Read more

My wife and I spent our anniversary at this hotel resort about a week ago and we were very disappointed to say the least. We felt like this hotel was really intended for Mexican national families. It wasnâ??t meant for young American couples. We were the only Americans there. There werenâ??t any other young couples without kids. When we first arrived they checked us in and didnâ??t explain to us any of the details of the events happening at the hotel (daily bike rides, kayaking, evening shows, c... Read more

Very friendly staff. We were there for two weeks and really enjoyed our stay. Two weeks is a long time and I won't stay somewhere that long again but the staff and comfort of the resort made it doable.
