We had 8 hr to kill before our flight out of PV and the hotel we stayed at could not accommodate late checkout. The heat and humidity was pretty brutal for us temperate climate folks so we needed a place to stash our stuff and get out of the sun for a few hours and ended up booking at Hotel Eloisa because the price was right and were pleasantly surprised. Our room, albeit dated, was nice and clean. The halls, open spaces and pool areas were also tidy and clean! The front desk and maids were nic... Read more

I went to Porto Vallarta to get away, relax and enjoy the sun. I booked at the end of Sept for Oct 16...thus was there low season, so the hotel was 80% empty. I didn't pay a lot, but I expect the basic in a room. I'm an easy going guy who just wants a clean room with a bathroom, bed, and things running properly... I don't think want luxury because I don't spend a lot of time I'm my room. When I checked in I got a cold response by the guy at the desk, even though I tried to talk to him. He hardl... Read more

The Eloisa Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, and it has an elevator which is convenient when you have suitcases. It is located close to the beach and restaurants. There were two double beds in my room, a fan above the beds and a bathroom with a shower. There was no TV in my room but one next to the registration desk. However, if you are in Puerto Vallarta (PV) use the time to enjoy the town, spend the day at the beach or touring around. There is a swimming pool on the top floor and an ar... Read more

Wouldn't stay here again! It had no character, we only got two towels Spartan bed linens, our rooms weren't ready even buy the 4 PM check-in time, and the worst thing was the bathroom that smelled as if it was seeping sewage gases. We also stayed at Posada Roger... much nicer, plus cheaper.

Location! Walk outside the lobby door, turn your head to the right..there is the ocean, a 1 minute walk away...10 seconds if you are Usain Bolt. Not just the ocean, but bars, restaurants of every type right on the beach. Buy a margarita and stare at the ocean. Plenty of benches on the boardwalk. Nice safe walk along the beach boardwalk..10 minutes to starbucks..you will need starbucks for its usa style plugs. Not far from the famous old church. Tired of walking..stand on sidewalk..if you a... Read more

First off, I don't understand the bad reviews. This hotel is exactly as advertised. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, everything worked. The location is central to everything for walking. The staff I found to be very friendly. I originally booked a room with fan. It was in the inner courtyard. I upgraded to a suite after two days. The room was fine, very quiet, but a little dark. The suite looks exactly as it does in the pictures. I loved the private balcony facing the park. I've stayed all... Read more

I stayed in the Hotel Eloisa back in April 2012 and the location was perfect. It was just a short walk away to the bus stops and to the malecon plus there were stores/restaurants everywhere. There were a couple nights I regretted not booking a room with a television or window, but it wasn't the end of the world. You may also want to bring ear plugs as you could hear people quite clearly from the showers. I didn't like how the safes weren't in the rooms, but were by the front desk - made things a... Read more

We stayed here for two nights on our recent trip. Before this, we were at an all-inclusive hotel where it wasn't worth the price because we barely ate at the restaurant at all because it was akin to banquet food. The suite was great. The mattress - not so much. I haven't had worse sleep for quite some time, but the price of the room made it worth staying at Eloisa. Every morning at 8:15, if you plan on sleeping and your room is facing the town square on the South....forget about it. The Zumb... Read more
