My wife and stayed in a large quiet suite. Chose Casona for its gourmet dining and perfect Historico Centro location. My favorite restaurant in Puebla. Avoid rooms with windows on street. Casona is splendid peaceful retreat in a prosperous and noisy city.

Though we had several options, staying in the Old Historic district was the best choice that we made. This hotel is centrally located: one block from the Zocalo and main cathedral, within walking distance of many local attractions and across the street from a major chapel. We had the la China Poblana suite which was nicely appointed with a sitting area, closet and a great bathroom. It had doors opening on the corner of the building which can be a bit noisy on a weekend night but we used earpl... Read more

This hotel is superb, great location, short walk to the main square, very friendly staff and the rooms are delightful each with a different layout, we were there for a wedding and the hotel took care of everything. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful time. Service is great. Rooms are big and very comfortable. Food is good and we had the chance to try a 'Moles festival'. The history behind the house is very interesting, and the infrastructure is lovely. It's also very well located for tourism.

I have spent three nights in Puebla, at this hotel, let me start saying, not nearly enough for all the places to visit and history to learn. I will now need to come back for at least one full week. The hotel is a boutique, understand: "literally a boutique hotel", with everything thought to its minimum detail. An amazing atmosphere and the most friendly staff. And this is coming from someone that spends 300 days per year in hotels. The restaurant is excellent, starting with a very authentic Mexi... Read more

I booked my adult workshop students(also friends)at Casona de la China Poblana as I knew they would love it and they did. I stayed at another hotel, but spent time with them at Casona de la Poblana. The service was excellent and very personal ( which doesn't occur in many hotels these days). The rooms were well equipped and beautifully decorated without being overly ornate. I had been familiar with this hotel as it houses my favorite restaurant in Puebla by the same name Casona de la China ... Read more

A gorgeous mansion With only 10 to 12 rooms/suites, Casona de la China Poblana is quite stunning. Thoroughly modern, yet holds the air of something ancient. We were there for a night, ate at the dining room where both service and food was excellent. Yes, Some of the rooms do face the street, but it did not bother us sensitive sleepers at all, as there is sufficient cover for the windows, including strong wood doors. The pace of the hotel is in keeping with the pace of Puebla; relaxing old world ... Read more

I loved my stay at the Casona de la China Poblana. I had the China Poblana junior suite and thought it must be the best room with the two balconies. It, like the hotel, is a great blend of Colonial and modern. Everyone was wonderful, service was great. Food, under the direction of charming Captain Flores, was very good. The location is perfect for exploring wonderful Puebla. I am an older female solo traveler and have traveled throughout Mexico which I love at Christmas. The only caveat is that ... Read more

A very warm welcome from the hotel staff and a shot of very good tequila to start our stay was excellent. We had a beautiful room, the Samarcanda Suite, which had not only a very spacious bedroom with beautiful bathroom and shower, but also an upper level, also very spacious, and beautifully furnished with comfortable sofas and a wide screen TV. We immediately felt at home and very comfortable. Outside our room the wide balcony overlooks the restaurant courtyard below and is furnished with co... Read more

The architecture is amazing, more than 400 years old and very well preserved. The restaurant has delicious food and reasonable price, not too high and not too low price for what it offers. I recommend the Meztizo Breakfast which is an Omelette filled with chilaquiles, exquisite.
