Several of us came to this resort for a buffet lunch and afternoon at the pool/beach. This place is very remote, barren and isolated. There appeared to be no-one in the whole resort. Never saw another guest while we were there. The hotel buildings look unfinished and most of the resort is compromised of empty lots for sale. The restaurant was a cavernous room and the food choices were limited. The beef was so tough it was inedible. On the beach, there were about 8 hammocks. At least 3 of them we... Read more

Our plane got delayed so we had to stay another night. We picked this place because is relatively close to the airport. It was a good deal since it is the low season. We had half a day to enjoy the beach. The room is pretty, and the beach was awesome just for us no one there. Room service is good and very fast. Would definitely come back.

This place was a terrific find! We came in the off season on our way to Puerto Vallarta by car. Looked in TripAdvisor and reviewed all previous reviews. Google maps is not accurate but once found it was an Oasis. Follow signs to the Mazatlan Airport south of tow and you will be there. Planning to visit again

We spent 4 nights there. Its really quiet, clean, good service, excellent restaurant but the most important, I forgot mi ipad when I left , personnel were completelly nice and helped me to recover it thru DHL. It is far from Mazatlan downtown and Golden zone, just plan your days or tours and try to comeback on the evening. Its kind of private place,

I will echo what everyone else says: the area and the resort are beautiful! We had the good fortune to stay at a friend's condo there and were made to feel welcome by all of the staff, but in particular Edgar Octavio Hernandez Nazariega went out of his way to make sure our stay was flawless - and I know we tried his patience at least a few times! The pool in the phase we stayed in was having a bar installed (can't wait to come back to see the end result) but it was a short, easy walk to the ... Read more

This resort is going to be updated in the near future so it will be even better, right now the rooms are a little dark but they are very very well sized and comfortable. The views from the rooms are amazing and the room I had included a very good size balcony overlooking the ocean. The service was very good, although my room key only worked about half of the time, very friendly people. Looking forward to going back once the updates are complete!!

We have spent four visits here as we have traveled the west coast of Mexico. We always find this hotel welcoming and comfortable. Almost hate to mention it. But it is a very comfortable and quiet break from Mazatlan"s tourist crowd. The beach is immediate and a great walking beach, not so great for swimming or surf play. There is a terrific golf course (I'm told as i don't golf but it sure looks nice). Several nice swimming pools and decent dining. Possibly a little spendy but worth the ext... Read more

Estrella del Mar is gorgeous from the hotel to the pool to the beach. Truly a hidden gem. Beware that there is nothing around (like stores, etc) and all food comes from the 2 on-site restaurants, which, by the way, have a wonderful varied menu. It is not that expensive, which I had read in other reviews. Everything I ordered was wonderfully presented by a top-notch chef and very good. The Service was impeccable (thank you, Victor and others). Room was very comfortable. Bathrooms amazing. ... Read more

Over 3 km of pristine, virtually deserted beach. Great quality condos. One of the best golf courses in Mexico. Two restaurants, one in the clubhouse and one in the hotel. Condos and building lots for sale. Half hour drive into Mazatlan, 10 minutes to Stone Island.
