We just used this place to fill the gaps between weeks at local resorts, so it worked quite well. It is an older building and many of the rooms do not have beach views which is disappointing. We were put into a very small room that looked out over the interior courtyard (claimed they didn't have beach-view rooms). Great location on the beach and right downtown with lots of shopping and dining nearby. About 1/2 mile from the Malecon which stretches for miles toward the El Faro lighthouse. It's ... Read more

The past five years my sister and I have stayed at many resorts, hotel boutiques in Mazatlan to sell a family property. Our stay at the Ramada was pleasant, clean, service very good for us and our 83 year old father. The suite spacious with two rooms, private bathrooms. Comfy large king size beds, walk in shower for Dad, efficient air conditioning units keep the rooms comfortable and quiet. Resort is large and a short walk to restaurant. Ocean view and sunsets from the restaurant. Conveniently l... Read more

We wanted to stay in the Golden Zone (a strip of beach with hotels one right after the next), and chose the Ramada because of its convenient location to the beginning of the malecon, grocery store (formerly Mega, now Soriana),local shops and restaurants, and closer to the Historical District and the "market" area. We like traveling in May, because it seems like a less "busy" time, and the humidity still hasn't arrived, so the weather is beautiful. The staff at the Ramada were very helpful. Edg... Read more

Clean, friendly personnel, great views (at least from my room). Nice pools and beach access. Pool bar and terrace restaurant are perfect to chill out. The elevator was a little slow. That's my only issue. A couple of times ended up taking the stairs because it was taking what felt like 5 minutes to arrive. But I think the hotel was full during my stay. I saw a lot of people during the weekend plus there was also a beauty contest being hosted there and participants and crew were staying there too... Read more

Smelly. Old. Needs work! Air conditioner either blasts cold air or blasts hot air or no air at all. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1, because the staff, especially housekeeper, Fanny, was very helpful. I was in a regular room, 1 king bed, no balcony, which is what I reserved. Unfortunately, the wall of the balcony next door ended right next to my window. Young men were in the room next door and more than once, I caught them on the end of their balcony closet to my room, peering into my room... Read more

Old furniture in a bad shape, visually sad and noisy air conditioner. Rooms are expensive and barely bigger than the double bed; smells old because of the wooden furniture. Check in and check out takes too many time and invoicing your payment will became an issue.
