Dazzling public areas. For us the buffet breakfast was included and it had both western and japanese dishes (it is not cheap if purchased separately). I believe they have tennis courts and a pool if you can find them. Our room had an excellent view of the castle. If you are not interested in dining at the hotel, cross the river to the kiosks between the station and Osaka-Jo hall. Pretty good prices for a small take it with you snack. Neighborhood around the hotel appeared modern and sterile. The... Read more

Every time we got in or went out of the hotel, somebody of the staff came to help us with whatever we could need. The room was big, had many facilities and a nice view. However we could hear some voices and noise coming from the other rooms. The buffet breakfast was large and delicious and again there was always someone to warmly welcome us, escort us to a table and explain the buffet. There are a large number of restaurants in this hotel which all serve different kind of foods.

We enjoyed our stay and the hotel is well situated near Osaka castle. Not much around in terms of places to eat however since it's a business area . We had a family suite , four beds but one bathroom . The bathroom however was very big with separate shower and bath and lots of amenities were provided . They also provided us with a DVD player and two humidifiers on request . The staff were very friendly and helpful . Breakfast had a good selection . On the minus side, the hotel feels a bit dated... Nice hotel with a beautiful view This hotel is located next to the Osaka castle park and we used JR loopline Osakajokoen Station (which means Osaka park station, if you understand Chinese characters) instead of the nearer station, the Osaka business park, as we find that a short walk in the Osaka park is very relaxing and I love it. Hotel staffs are friendly and the lobby manager was extremely helpful and gave us great suggestions when we asked about planing our trip to Kyoto. Yes, the hotel is... Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel New Otani. The rooms are clean and spacious, the amenities are as expected, and the view of the Osaka Castle from the room is incredible. As with everywhere in Japan, the staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful, and professional. The breakfast was quite good as well with Asian and Western selections. I would stay again next time i'm in Osaka.

Alright. I did not find breakfast satisfying nor did I find the rooms bright enough. Between 3 people, we were given one key and the extra bed was not comfortable. And the extra bed was given a rock hard bean bag pillow. Cleanliness and service were standard for this type of hotel.

All gold and glitzy like trying to be regal. Cold tiles, cold feeling rooms. Can't really say it's bad but there's no sense of coziness or plushness or consideration of colour coordination. It's like the rooms were designed by committee with the accountant getting final say. "That cream paint is cheap and it goes with the jot lo to gold colored light fittings we got" Location is good for the famous park and it's a great place to run. I was going to use the gym but on arrival they asked me to pay... Read more

Clean, but dated. We had a large room with three (single) beds over looking Osaka Castle. That was a nice find. Staff is courteous and efficient. Most spoke English quite well. A bit far from most things in Osaka; but, plenty of amenities in the neighborhood: Starbucks, izakayas (pubs). Lobby cafe was expensive $50 for coffee/cake set. But, it was packed the weekend we were there! Excellent cocktails in the plush (but also, dated) main bar, the Castle.

We booked the hotel less than a week from our visit and were able to get the room we wanted. We included a request for a specific room and the staff insured our needs were met and addressed those on check in. We had a late night flight and the staff was very friendly and quick with our check in and getting us to our room. Our room had a king size bed, stocked refrigerator, coffee and tea service and a safe along with other amenities. The room was very spacious with a couch in a setting area ... Read more

We stayed for two days at this hotel, but would love to stay longer. The place is just a few minutes walk away from Osaka castle and a subway station. The hotel lobby was impressive. The staff were welcoming. Our room was huge, beyond our expectations. The bed was comfortable. The amenities were excellent. We had a stunning view of Osaka castle. Overall, our stay at this hotel was a wonderful, relaxing experience.
