We stayed here for one night to celebrate my birthday. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They also had surprised me with a lovely looking pastry in our room on our arrival. The room was nicely decorated with a Venetian style. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Venice. It was in a perfect location as well, just a minute away from St Mark's square.

We arrived at the hotel on Christmas day just before midnight by water taxi from the airport. The concierge was very friendly and welcoming, all of the staff we dealt with were really helpful. We loved every moment we spent there and embraced our time in Venice. I don't think that we could find any negatives about this hotel. We would definitely return. Our suite overlooked the Bridge of Sighs, where we ate breakfast delivered to our room. We had a 4 poster bed and an incredible chandelier w... Read more

Having read through some of the reviews before we arrived, we had got ourselves a little nervous at what we were going to be greeted with: rude staff and cold rooms being a couple of the things that worried us slightly. However couldn't have been further from our experience. Every staff member we met was warm, attentive, chatty and couldn't have been more helpful with any information we needed. The room we stayed in (150) was outstanding! Clean, warm and beautifully decorated. The view of "The B... Read more

We booked online without really knowing anything about the hotel. Only the location...... The place was fantastic value for money considering the location. 50 yards from the beautiful Piazza st Marco. Very clean, excellent breakfast at the sister hotel only a 20 meter walk away and very very helpful and friendly staff!

Horrible Hotel Picked this hotel for its location, on small canal near San Marco square, and view of the Bridge of Sighs. In both regards, it delivered as promised. On other points, it was possibly the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The mini suite itself was furnished with very, very worn sofa and chairs. The tables and canopy bed were very cheap and wobbly. The mattress itself on the bed was hard as a rock. So hard, that I couldn‚??t overcome my jet-lag since if I stayed in the bed lon... Read more

My wife and I went to check in to the hotel, and we were greeted by an incredibly rude person, who seemed completely put out that we wanted to check in. The lift could only fit my wife and I, the porter and our bags had to be bought up separately. The porter seemed friendly and we tipped him. He was the best employee in the hotel and was always friendly towards us. I assume he told the person who checked us in that we had tipped him, as they were much friendlier when we came down to explore Veni... Read more

I am sad to say overall it was a bad and unpleasant experience. All of the staff were incredibly rude (I can see from previous complaints the hotel has put that this is due to a language barrier unfortunately it wasn't this, they were all rude and unhelpful) The room we were put in was cold and on the first floor despit paying for a suite and it being our honeymoon. Further to this the shower leaked after my husband and I used it right though the walk into the room (I was worried due to electr... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay and would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful, friendly staff who made us feel like friends. The location was fantastic...very close to Piazza San Marco and the Bridge of Sighs. We enjoyed the sounds in the morning as we wanted a Venetian experience and it was wonderful to hear Venice waking up...the sound of bells first thing...the gondoliers getting ready...it added to our experience! Breakfast was good...we could either choose room service or pop across to... Read more

Room 150...with a terrace onto the canal..... The best. Piano nobile, first floor, corner room looking out to the Grand Canal, through the Bridge of Sighs. Pole position Three huge Windows and French window onto the canal. Ok, it's a four star. Fading and in need of TLC. But it's still got some chutzpah. Forget about the room delivered breakfast or the sit down option in the sister hotel around the corner. Go out and and forage with the locals for the best coffee in the world, the freshest cro... We stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was clean and staff very friendly and helpful. It is ideally located just behind San Marco square although the downside is the bells every morning at 7am, although not an issue for us as we are early risers. The other little negative was only double bed so had to share with my mum but the bed was very large. Breakfast is in the sister hotel across the way but really only basic - cereal, cakes, scrambled egg, bacon, yoghurts, fruit juices and hot drink dispenser.... Read more
