I really enjoyed this hotel overall and would stay again if I need a hotel in Rome. The location is great and the value for the room is near unbeatable. We stayed in the main building, on the second floor. The staff was always nice and spoke English pretty well. They were also able to give suggestions for places in the area like bars, restaurants and places to get laundry done. They also called a cab for us when we needed to go to the train station. The hotel itself also has a cozy bar, but we n... Read more

The location is fantastic, to be able to walk everywhere! We stayed in room 34, on the top floor. No view, but it was very quiet. The hotel has an elevator, friendly and helpful front desk staff, and the room was cleaned every day. The room is large, and the bed comfortable. There were lots of options at breakfast, which was served starting at 7 am. The people staying there when we were there were mostly of retirement age, which I think added to the quiet. There are good restaurants very close b... Read more

The location is great - near piazza navona and campo di fiori. The room was nice - spacious enough and clean, although the shower was a bit in need of renovation. The breakfast was ok but a bit dull. The service was kind and nice. The room key was weird, huge keyring and we were asked to leave it at reception when going out.

This was a good choice for Rome as it's pretty central when related to the Rome tourist map everyone uses so the main sites are all a fairly short walk from here. Breakfast was basically scrambled or boiled eggs with cold meat and cheese options. Adequate while I'd probably opt for eating at different Rome cafes on a return. I would use this hotel again with the only drawback being no views as the rooms are closed in.

This hotel looks great in photos and is well situated near the Campo di Fiori. Unfortunately, there are some serious compromises, particularly if you stay in the Annex across the plaza from the main building. The staff was very courteous and the daily breakfast in the Roman ruins in the basement was well stocked (while the ruins are nice, good luck getting WiFi in that cave!). Our problems were with Room 3 in the annex...up 3 flights of very narrow stairs only to be kept awake by a flock of p... Read more

Our usual delight at being in Rome was already dampened when we were directed to the windowless room barely meters from the from desk and told there was no alternative. Oh well we said all the more reason to spend as much time outside as possible and as little within earshot of the glum receptionist. On our return we discovered the AC did not work & after the much more helpful night receptionist was unable to get it to work we were moved to another room on the top floor. Initially relieved r... This hotel was less expensive than those near it but I cannot believe that the others were of higher quality. On all counts - service, cleanliness, amenities - the Teatro di Pompeo was excellent. The location, just off the Campo de Fiore, was perfect for the nine days we were in Rome. We ate at four different good restaurants housed in buildings on the same "block" as the hotel. One could walk easily to the Vatican or to Trastevere and it seemed that almost every city bus stopped nearby. The staf... Read more

We booked a three night stay here from 8-10 December 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our nights there and our interactions with the staff. Our flight into Rome and transition through customs put us at the hotel 90 minutes before authorized check-in but the front desk let us check-in which allowed us to get a little rest before heading out to explore. Breakfast in basement was ample and tasty with a surprisingly attentive staff making sure the food was replenished and we had all the cappuccino and co... Read more

In a great spot on a back street behind Campo di Fiori market place. We had Room no.10, just behind the reception on the ground floor with windows overlooking the inside atrium. Was spotlessly clean, beds were slightly hard, but I like that Bathroom was small in an "L" shape, but that fitted in a bidet & shower. Towels good clean, new quality & plenty of them. Not many toiletries- soap & shampoo, shower cap. Hairdryer was new, of the type fastened to the wall- was fine. May not suit a thick hair... Read more

Overall was a good experience. The rooms could use some serious deep cleaning but were generally fine. Would go there again but may not be first choice. There are great things to see in the area and the staff was generally friendly and helpful.
