There is a small breakfast available. Don't be shy about asking for coffee at breakfast The elevator is a little small but not too small. The rooms a descent and house keeping is great. Best part is the proximity to the train station. We were able to quickly catch a train and go to other cities without any real planning. Just walk to the station, pick a train and go.

This small and friendly hotel was an ideal base for visiting the historic centre of Rome 15-20 minutes walk to the Forum. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was fairly standard for Italy. I would recommend this hotel.

First room we had was tiny. Beware basic rooms opening onto an internal courtyard. Second room was really good. Looked towards the Opera house. We found the breakfast a bit cramped but a good selection. Desk service great. I'm not sure why people make an issue about the stairs. It's one flight that's all Great location

I read a lot of reviews before making a purchasing decision and when I was reading feedback from Hotel Lirico, it had plenty of good recent reviews but now that I have experience their service first hand, I regret giving them a single penny. Now that I read their so-called manager response to their customers, they KEEP saying the customer is exaggerating their experience. Instead of trying to figure out a way to improve, the hotel manager goes on a defensive mode and blames the customers. On t... Read more

Guidelines for Rome. I suggest that you get a ticket to the Hop on Hop off bus, this way you will get to see all of the key sites in Rome Definitely get "Skip the Line" tickets for all venues or you will waste your entire day waiting in line to see the venues

Stayed for 3 nights. Nice clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are basic but clean with a decent bathroom and maid service each day. Breakfast is typical continental served from 7.30am til 10am, breakfast can be a little crammed due to the size of the breakfast room but it serves it's purpose. Located near to decent bars and restaurants however it is a further walk from the main sites some parts of which the walk can be quite steep. We had to catch a taxi to the Vatican for a tour ... Hotel is old and you need to climb a huge flight of stairs before you are able to check in. This is not ideal for seniors and people that have difficulty walking. Please stay away if you have lots of luggage and if you have difficulty walking Service is mediocre. Don't get the hotel to call you a cab. Save your money and hail one on the streets. I didn't know when you get the hotel staff to call you a cab, the meter starts once they call so when they arrive, the meter is already starting at $... Read more

The place of the hotel is very close to the train station and you can walk to the almost every important places. The breakfast was more than we expected. Especially if you are from Mediterranean area, you will probably like it.

Just got home from a four night stay at the Lirico . This hotel is great!! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we loved our time here. We must give a special mention to the fabulous Tony . We were greeted so warmly on arrival and are out on his recommendations every night. There was nothing that was too much trouble for him or any of the staff. We have rarely felt more welcome in any hotel anywhere. The hotel itself is a lovely small place right next to the opera house. Our room ... Read more
