This is the second time we have stayed at the Berchielli and it only gets better! The hotel is located on the Arno within walking distance to every major attraction in Florence, the staff is extremely helpful and the breakfast is exceptional. I do not know why anyone would stay anywhere else while in Florence. It truly is elegant in every respect.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Berchielle earlier this month, and had a wonderful stay. When we checked in the staff were very welcoming. I asked if by any chance they had any rooms overlooking the Arno. After checking the front desk manager told us that there was one available, but that it was on the first floor. We decided to take it, and it was a lovely, spacious room. I was a bit worried that the noise from the street might be a bit disruptive, but the double-glazing was incredibly effective... Read more

My Wife wanted to vist Florence. Fortunately I found the " The Hotel Berchielli ". It made our stay in this beautiful city even more special. I can not find a single fault with this Hotel. The staff were exceptional. From house keeping to the Manager nothing was to much trouble. We stayed in a room over looking "The Ponte Vecchio Bridge" on the upper floor which also adds to the ambience.

I stayed at this fantastic location 30 years ago with my mother when I Was a student in Italy. Ten years later my husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and now 22 years later i booked for our daughter on her honeymoon. They had a fabulous Room, delicious breakfasts and were thrilled with the gracious service! The location remains IDEAL for viewing Florence and Proprietorship always accomadating! I Highly recommend this charming hotel!

I have been reading some of the negative reviews for the Hotel Berchielli and can only surmise that people were confused with where they were staying! I travelled to Florence with my daughter as part of my 60th birthday celebrations this year, she had been before but me never. Our arrival at the hotel was as you would expect, courteous and efficient. All staff were pleasant and informative when required even the chap who runs the bar was happy to provide a G&T and a V&T with very little ice! We ... Read more

This hotel is just a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio and therefore close to almost every major attraction in Florence. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well cared for. There is a nice little bar with a friendly, professional bartender, but you are also close to dozens of nice restaurants. The bed for my King room was actually two twin beds pushed together, which was fine. My wife and I found the beds to be very comfortable. My only complaint was the extremely ... Read more

From the warm welcome of the receptionists through to the end of our Florence visit - we had a fabulous stay! Our room overlooked the river Arno, perfectly clean, comfy beds & great en suite facilities. Buffet breakfast offered plenty of choice & fresh coffee is served (unlike the Pitti Palace hotel!). Only improvement would be for the breakfast room to be brightened up as it‚??s large and airy, lacking in natural light. This is our second stay at this hotel and we‚??ll be back next year. Nice ... We stayed at the hotel recently and the location is excellent. Service is good, and you have to meet Giovanni- the bartender and hear his stories. Close to everything, we asked for and got an upgraded room facing the river, well worth it. Will definitely stay there again

Sitting on the Arno, the Berchielli is sited at the heart of old Firenze very close to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi gallery. Most rooms are away from the front, though, in a building obviously extended over the years in a rather haphazard but quaint fashion. On the plus side, we were offered a tray of tea and coffee; the staff were friendly and smart; and the bedroom comfortable. On the minus side, we drew the short straw in having a room with very little daylight (205); we had to buy our own... Read more

This is a lovely hotel with a fantastic location overlooking the river and the Ponte Vecchio. It is walkable to all the main sights in Florence which is mostly for pedestrians. In theory cars can't enter the central area however taxis can, and workmen vans and there are horse and carts as well as many mopeds and bicycles which creep up on you and I am surprised there are not more accidents. It is about 10-15 mins walk to the hotel from the train station, along cobbled streets, so a bit tricky... Read more
