Stayed one night in the bussiness double room, with high roof and enough space, mini fridge, tv and fast internet connection. It's very clean hotel with classic style, comfortable bed for good sleep. Well connected to public transportation for going to Bologna city center as well as the airport, near places for eat and supermarkets. For free we could print our boarding passes in the hotel. Staff not so nice but they do their work. We could return this place againg.

Myself, husband and 22 year old daughter stayed for 5 nights from 5-10th September. Having booked a while in advance I was slightly concerned before our arrival to read some poor reviews but needn't have been. We had a triple room (206) overlooking the main road and car park across the street. The bedroom was very spacious with plenty of storage space and was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. We were provided with clean towels every day and there was always plenty of hot water. On our fi... Read more

I had the pleasure to stay in the hotel for two nights during a business trip, and I was assigned a very large suite with a kitchenette, dining and sitting room and a very confortable bed room. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is in a good position, well connected to the city centre by public buses and near to one of the major hospital.

I stayed in a single room which was quite small but had all the comforts i needed; clean, comfortable single bed, hot water, aircon, desk, good wifi and a small balcony. The hotel is an easy straight road, 20min walk to the centre of town and if you dont want to walk there are bus stops out the front. Its also a 20min walk to the train station. Breakfast was not included but they provided a buffet with a great selection for an extra 9 euro. The staff all spoke excellent english and were very hel... Read more

Listen, if you're expecting 4 star semi luxury you will be disappointed. There is no way to sugar coat that. If you want a clean, spacious (one of the biggest I've stayed in)and comfortable room at a reasonable price, I would heartily recommend. This hotel doesn't need an update otherwise its 80s charm would be lost, its tired as all great ladies of the early 80s must now be, but like most of those old gals they can still perform! Close to town if you like a walk otherwise bus stops are just o... Read more

I was staying here from the end of may until the start of August so i was here a while you could say. I left the hotel early but this was purely to move closer to the area i was working or i would of had to start leaving the hotel at 6am to get there using busses. for me a bed shower and a fridge is generally all i need but these are my comments regarding the Grand elite hotel. Pros - Great transport links outside the hotel for busses. Very good wifi. they have changed to free wifi where as ... Read more

Just returned from a four night stay in Bologna with my wife at the Grand Hotel Elite, We found the hotel to be. very clean, the staff made us feel welcome and were always attentive and happy to help. Although our room was a little dated it was very comfortable clean, lovely and warm and generous in size. The breakfast was good and the couple of times we ate in the restaurant found the service and food good.

The first impression for everything is crucial and as regards this hotel was very disappointing.Since we arrived rather early (about 10.00 a.m) we asked one receptionist if we can leave our luggage in a store room till check in time (15.00 p.m).His behavior was a bit arrogant, he told us to wait in the lobbyl because he had to serve other clients. So, we were waiting for almost 30 mins, without noone telling anything to us and with no sign of activity in reception too. Finally, a female receptioni... About 20 minutes walking to the city center, or 5 bus stops, bus station right near the hotel ( bus 13, or 19). There is nothing chic or traditional with the rooms, just outdated furniture. The room was large and clean, but the heating system was making a terrible noise. I had a room facing the main street and the sound insulation was not good at all, it seemed like buses were running through my room. Very disappointing staff, I asked them some information about getting down-town and the recepti... Read more

This hotel is very very dated. Not a four star hotel at all. The hotel itself is clean and warm which is all one really needs and breakfast is fine. Dinner however is appalling. You cannot take outside food into the room unless you pay a fee for "extra cleaning". The wifi in room is fine. My toilet did not always want to flush, I had to take the lid off the cistern to flush it on most occasions. One morning I did not have hot water. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. A... Read more
