This was our 2nd visit to the Paramount. Our room was lovely, breakfast very good , staff friendly and most of all location superb. Very central to the Temple Bar district and all the fantastic pubs, galleries, historical places etc. Highly recommended for reasonably priced, central location stay.

On my latest trip to Dublin I stayed at the Paramount Hotel. The entrance and the whole back alley scenery is a bit seedy (got there on a rainy night), but upon entering the hotel, everything is back to normal. Friendly staff, big room, bit old and dark interior, comfortable bed , tiny TV, good size and warm bathroom. Very quiet room! #102 Had the Irish breakfast the next morning, was OK. Can definitely recommend this hotel if you need a good night's sleep when in town.

Stayed for one night recently on a flying visit to Dublin. The hotel is within a few minutes walk of the bus stop that takes you directly to the airport. I was allocated a nice double room with bathroom. The furnishings are looking a little tired, but the room was warm, comfortable bed, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The staff on reception could not have been more helpful in providing me with direction around the city. Superb location only minutes walk from all the main tourist attract... Read more

This hotel is very central, 2 minutes from Christchurch Cathedral and 10 minutes walk to Grafton Street. The hotel itself seems to be divided in two with half the rooms accessible via an elevator at reception and the other rooms accessible from a different elevator down a corridor. The rooms reached by the elevator at reception are much quieter than the other ones. The hotel has a busy bar with a nightclub by vibe that plays loud music until about 2am. If you're in a room over the bar, you will ... Read more

The hotel is pleasant & clean. Not the best location for exploring Dublin on foot but doable. Enjoyed the restaurants in the area, especially the Queen of Tarts for breakfast. We stayed on a Friday & Saturday night, and could hear loud music late into the night coming from the Temple Bar area. Didn't get much sleep....

Nice easy check in arrived early but given a room straight away. 221. Very cold but on inspection windows would not close. Used a full box of tissues to pack out to stop draught. Once radiator kicked in nice and warm throughout stay Room very clean with nice bed linen. Bathroom in desperate need of a makeover. Dark d cor but in keeping with building Breakfast was included. Not much choice but cooked nicely and plenty of tea and coffee. Expected some noise at night due to location but ... Read more

I just wanted a hotel in a good location near the major Dublin attractions. The Paramount is on the edge of the Temple Bar (in itself is a tourist trap by the way). Dublin Castle is just steps away as are other major must sees in Dublin. The staff here was friendly enough. My one major problem with this place was that it was do for a renovation. The whole place seems to have been teleported from the 1930's with a redo since then. The breakfast was good but a tad too greasy. The hotel pub... Read more

The hotel is fine, the room is clean and not a bad size and the bathroom is ok. Unless you are prepared to pay a lot of money, rooms in Dublin are slightly dated. The hotel is very noisy until the pub closes and then you have piece. Some hotels are constantly noisy so this was good. Very close to temple bar. The staff here are great and are happy to help. The breakfast is amazing. We would stay again.

We had booked this hotel with friends as we were going to a concert in Vicars Street and wanted something close by. To be honest we only booked this place because of the price and location but I think we would go back here just for a weekend in Dublin alone. The walk from the train station was easy enough, just follow the river. The room itself, well, we couldn't believe the size of it. With a double and a single bed it would be great for girls or boys weekends away. A small fridge in the... Read more
