Stayed one night while in Dublin. Nothing special. We were on the top floor, that's a lot of stairs. The room was ok but the bathroom needs help. There was no hot water in the sink. The shower was really small. Needs an update. The beds were fine for the night. Left early in the morning to head for the Airport so didn't have breakfast. The hotel next door that has a restaurant was a nice place to eat.

On entering the hotel it seemed average, were happy with what we had paid for it. However on walking to the room we had to walk back outside to find our room which was a small area filled with people smoking. We managed to find our room to find their was heating restrictions, January in Dublin is freezing and we literally sat with covers around us getting ready. We went down and asked for a taxi and sat at the bar for a drink and we were very pleased with the man serving behind the bar. Credit t... Read more

There was no hot water supply in the bathroom sink. I told the staff about it on the way out in the morning. When I got back in the evening, one of the staff told me some convoluted yarn about getting a plumber out, and the plumber being unable to get a part, blah blah. [It sounded like Basil Fawlty's lying tale to the American tourists about the chef hurting his hand and being unable to get walnuts in the Fawlty Towers episode "Waldorf Salad"] Basically, I don't care what the reason is: hot wat... The hotel is a bit rough around the edges, but for the price a good buy. I have stayed in more expensive hotels in Dublin but Maple fits the bill. It's really central to O'Connell street and 10 minutes walk from Temple Bar. Some rooms are bigger than others, but the rooms are clean and adequate. Save your euros for more Guinness in the great bars. Next door is a great Restaurant/live music bar O'shea's. In a nutshell don't look for faults enjoy your break away in Dublin.

We are currently staying here at the moment. Wonderful little hotel to use as a base whilst travelling in Dublin. Friendly staff, the room although basic was lovely and cosey. Highly reccommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cheap but decent stay right in the heart of Dublin

Worst hotel we have stopped in when visiting Dublin, fag ends all over the front doorway. We found a nappy in the walkway which was thee all day. Gotta say never again will we stop at this hotel for the money we paid it weren't worth it

This hotel is rated as a two-star place, and it is. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. And its location is great, parallel with the Spire in O'Connell Street. After that I have little positive to say about it. We established that we were in a room that had no fire escape, which was particularly disconcerting as the alarm went off one night. A false alarm fortunately. The staff were at best civil, but more usually curt and unhelpful. Both the heating of the room and the hot water were rand... Read more

This hotel simply costs too much for what it is. Very dated, shower wasnt working properly, breakfast choices very limited and the windows are practically non-existent. Very loud and cold in the rooms. Some of the staff was friendly, two people were rude. If the rooms were very cheap i could live with all that, as at least the room was clean and central, but there are better hotels for cheaper in the area. Would not book again.

Had a fantastic stay, rooms clean, beds comfy and bathroom was a good size and clean. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. We were on the top floor and there are no lifts. So property is Not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Tip: book directly with the hotel for a free Irish breakfast

I stayed here in September 2016 for a reunion. I booked a quadruple room but when we arrived and checked into the room it was a room with with a camp bed and two doubles. I complained to the receptionist who told me that the quadruple room had been taken. After a little negotiation we were given two separate rooms. This was not what we had planned however we made the best of it. The hotel itself is dated and the rooms are very basic. The breakfast was lovely and always plenty to choose from. The... Read more
