Ideal location at O'Connell Street, next to the transport links for airport buses, and within walking distance to everything in Dublin. The staff was nice and very informative to all our questions. Would definitely use again.

More than happy to remain rational about peoples comments and experiences and booked Barrys hotel with an open mind and benefit of doubt... It has to be said they have managed effortlessly to demonstrate how not to run a Hotel, thoroughly indifferent to their customer expectation. When providing services to the public it has to be accepted that they will have an opinion, Barrys is delusional if it regards its VERY expensive services as a decent standard... small cold room in need of attention, w... When you enter the lobby the hotel is filled with charm and feels beautiful, warm, and welcoming. Staff are lovely. But it ends there. The rooms are old and dingy with terrible dirty green carpets. Lighting is very bad. The TV is tiny. The bathroom is tiny. There is no space to work if you're there in business. Bed is a lovely old brass bed, but bedding and mattress are horrid and uncomfortable. You can feel every spring. Everything is dinged-up and old looking. No amenities in th... Read more

Had to visit Dublin at short notice and ended up booking Barry‚??s hotel for two nights. Dingy place, and not at all suitable for a business trip (no trouser press or iron in the room, no tea making facilities either). No aircon, WiFi not working properly and even when it did it was too slow to be of any use. No lift. Shower didn‚??t work properly, carpet badly stained, tiny dingy room and minuscule bathroom. It was ¬£90 a night which was extortionate.

Sign outside states a luxury hotel, not in the least. Dirty, musty smell from nothing in the building being updated ever, with stains all over the carpets. All furniture looks like it was acquired through used donations. The wifi constantly goes in and out minute to minute, very frustrating. The front desk staff is quite unpleasant and not the least helpful. However, the housekeeping staff is very nice and professional.

Sign outside says luxury!!! No way is it luxury. Old dirty smelly and unsafe. Window locks broken dirty carpet. Rooms are small and they smell. Safe are nice but seriously outrageous prices. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw our room. Paid $230 (AUD) per night. Not happy

Bad in every way dont stay. Over priced out of date not acceptable in this day and age and expensive for what it is. I was booked in here for 4 nights with my daughter for a course she was doing. The night watchman was unhelpful the room was small and smelled stale. We got up early went across the road for breakfast as there was no way Id eat anything in Barrys. We booked in across the road 5 times nicer rooms and surroundings lovely staff and much less money too. So just go across the road if y... Read more

Initially we booked a hotel 6 miles away from the city centre, then came across Barry's hotel. The price was cheaper and is literally around the corner from O'Connell street (high street). The room was a decent size and to a good, clean standard. There was always someone on reception to assist if needed and a breakfast could be provided at an additional cost of ‚?¨5. The odd improvement could have been made to the interior here and there, but this was not an issue for us as we weren't paying t... Read more

Arrived tired, quick check-in but not very inviting, expecting a lovely cuppa upon arrival. Shocked no teamaking facilities... Room very small indeed. Had to squeeze between cupboard and bed to get into bed...sheets and pillows lovely and clean but housekeeping was to a minimum and only came in the once in 4 days... Lovely area and very close to all the city centre attractions NO BAR

Historic hotel in great location only a short walk to o' Connell street and city centre. Disappointed with no onsite parking and it's a headache to find a space close by, there is on street but is busy and only free 7-7nights. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Noisy road facing room. On the plus side it is near to a lot of attractions for tourists but am not convinced it suits the business traveller like me.
