Nice old terrace style hotel but needs a bit of TLC. The rooms are a good size with character and the breakfast though only continental was plentiful and tasty and the staff are happy and pleasant. Down side, well it is opposite a nightclub and directly outside is a tram that runs ( or seems to run) every 2 minutes with its bell ringing and the rooms although double glazed block out none of the noise so take ear plugs.

Both me and my girlfriend were really happy with this hotel, the staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming, our room was available to check in earlier than stated which was really helpful as we're were travelling on an early flight. The room was modern and clean with all the necessary amenities. The only improvement we'd recommend are more variety for the breakfast such as porridge/granola etc. Also we're quite warm in the room even with radiator on low which lead to us opening the wind... A group of us stayed at Albany House for the weekend. The rooms were a great size and had all the amenities we needed. It is a lovely old building with lots of character. It could do with a little tlc and a bit of updating but everything was very clean. Some areas are looking a little tired and could do with attention but this didn't put us off at all as it was still a great place to stay. There are lots of stairs and winding corridors so I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are not prepare... Read more

We spent two nights at Albany House mid-week. The hotel is set in a Georgian Terrace very close to St Stephen's Green. The rooms are basic but ours was a good size and spotlessly clean and the bathroom was big and well appointed for this price range. The public area of the hotel has a dining room for breakfast only. Although not the legendary Irish Breakfast experience, the 'continental' breakfast was fine and the staff were very helpful and polite. Probably the best thing about the Albany House... Read more

I liked this hotel. The location was brilliant. So close to everything. The room was basic but had all the amenities. Unfortunately the shower wasn't working on our second day so we were given a key for another room. This meant getting dressed to go for a shower down the hallway! Not great. We were told that we would have received a refund if I hadn't already paid in advance? Wasn't completely satisfied with this. The manager did say we would receive a discount on our next visit but won't be goi... Read more

Great location, bit of a walk to the city centre (15-20 mins) but there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by if you don't want to go far. Noisy at night if you are facing the road, especially on the weekend. Beds were a little hard but the room was spacious and we were comfortable. It's not up to date but that's why we wanted to stay here, it is a lovely Georgian building. Agree with the previous comment on breakfast - a hot option would be fabulous but everything else provided was great,... Read more

I stayed in five different hotels while in Ireland for a two-week vacation and this was my favorite hotel. It was in walking distance of most of the places I wanted to visit and, although, it is an older hotel, my room was very updated and the bathroom very large and modern. The staff was extremely pleasant and when I needed medical attention, could not have been more helpful. There was a wide variety of food to choose from at breakfast and the staff very accommodating. I know that the stree... Read more

I stayed here for a few nights in mid-September while vacationing with a friend. We had a large, clean room with a huge bathroom, located at the back of the hotel were we found it nice and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. There was a large variety of options for breakfast and the food was plentiful. It was an easy walk to Grafton Street and Trinity College.

The Albany House is commendably upfront and honest about itself. Its a three star B&B in a cracking central location in a period building. It isnâ??t luxurious, but neither does it pretend to be, and the lack of lift will be a problem for some. There is no bar or food service bar at breakfast. Good points: Some lovely period features remain. Location is really central & near decent restaurants. The server at breakfast is charming & friendly. The bathrooms are modern & clean. The curtains we... Read more
