Pretty basic hotel when we turned up but was to be expected for the price we paid! But the way we was spoken to by a staff member after they left a note on the door saying be back in 5 minutes! We waited outside in the cold for about 10 minutes before he returned and then refused us entry to our room!! DO NOT GO HERE

Well where do I start this place was dreadful!!! I have no idea where they got their photographs from, but our room was horrible. Wires to lights above the bed were just cable clipped to the wall,I woke up with an imprint from the bed springs on my shoulder, the plug socket near the television blew my hairdryer up and also the one I borrowed from the hotel!! The room was on the first floor but had bars at the window so how you would get out in the event of a fire I have no idea!! On Sunday morni... Read more

Worst hotel I've ever been in, it smells damp and musty. The photos of the rooms were nothing like the room we stayed in, there were cables hanging on the wall uncovered, it's very run down and dated, the electrics in the room were not safe as my hairdryer blew up while using it, thinking it was the dryer I asked reception if they had 1 were could use, took it back plugged it in and that one also stopped working. We turned the T.V on then couldn't get it to change channel or even turn off. Y... Read more

We recently visited Dublin and chose the hotel because the price and location were excellent. However once there we discovered the staff was very unfriendly. Moreover the internet connection is very poor. I asked if upon paying I could get an upgrade on the internet but this was not possible. This is one of the reasons I prefer to stay at an Airbnb over a hotel, the quality and attention is not the same anymore. It is really a shame because the place is perfect in other aspects

The location of this hotel is perfect for staying in the middle of Dublin. It's no luxury hotel, but for the price I wasn't expecting Egyptian Cotton and turn-down service. So here's my star breakdown: 1 star for Service - This service at the hotel was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our shower and reported it on our way out for breakfast. A staff member came to fix the problem before lunch, and was very kind and mindful. Also, night staff was always av... This is the worst hotel Iv ever stayed in, very run down and smelt quite damp and musty. I wouldn't book it again and will not be recommending it to any friends and family. Staff: the receptionist on the night shift has to be the rudest one Iv ever met and that is saying something. Told us to F**k off when we wanted to pick up our keys from after going out of the hotel. The room: my room was well out the back and was completely separated from the hotel not sure if that's good or bad. Once I ... Read more

I gave it one star as I couldn't give it any less. This hotel was so bad, I signed up on TripAdvisor just to share my experience with the world. Upon arrival at the maple I was refused entry as they had recorded the wrong name on the room booking and demanded ID for the name on the booking and wouldn't accept mine. The room was supposed to be a double but was actually two singles. There was no remote control for the telly - when I finally got a remote from reception, the TV reception was like ... Read more

This place was pretty terrible all round, staff were rude, everything's outdated, the shower was mouldy and didn't stay at a single temperature, the lamp was broken, most channels on the tv had no sound. I'd emailed a few weeks in advance to ask them to provide vegetarian food for me as our stay included full Irish breakfast, on the first morning I asked what I could have that was vegetarian and I was told 'tea or coffee' so I was pretty unhappy about that too. Honestly I wish we'd stayed at ... Read more
