General I was recently at a function with members of my family at this venue, and having gone overboard on the available funds for suitable dress attire for the family, was looking forward to the night., We arrived at the venue for what we understood was an 8oc meal which was served at 9.30, 10 people at each table were given a bowl, consisting of 8 hard bread rolls, followed by a nice bowl of soup, (in hindsight the hotel should have served the soup as the main course) The dinner consisted o... Met up with friends and arrived at Marine at about 4.30pm. Decided to have late lunch and asked for the menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A varied menu was handed to us. All dished were very tempting . I ordered cajun chicken with sun dried tomatoes and pasta in a white wine sauce and it was delicious !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a beautiful view of the bay and well maintained gardens leading down to the sea. The atmosphere was so relaxing, we ended up have coffee and beautiful le... Read more

I was travelling with my sister and we were originally in a room with one bed and we asked for a wheel away bed, but instead they upgraded us to a superior room, all thanks to Ivan, he was a great host while we were there. The hotel was nice but a little far from Howth, we had to take a bus to get there. Not much to do in Sutton Cross.

In the MARINE HOTEL, there is a hidden JEWEL.....A wonderful ITALIAN restaurant to chill or celebrate a special EVENT or special BIRTHDAY among Friends. The BAR food is super and lunch buffet great value. The entrance to MARINE HOTEL is non fussy with comfortable arm chairs and there is a welcoming tone about this LOCATION on the SEA. We had a family member staying HERE last SUNDAY night and HE said the rooms are top of their class for comfort and style. We had a little group of six. We bo... Read more

My wife and I spent a week at the Marine Hotel enjoying Dublin prior to a conference at the same location. Prior to our stay both the Director, Al Ryan and the manager, David Infill were extremely helpful and provided good information. We stayed in a lovely room on the second floor looking out into the bay. The bar and restaurants were very good and the staff throughout the hotel were helpful and friendly. Facilities for the weekend conference and the gala dinner/dance were very good. Like a... Read more

Was hoping for a relaxing stay after flying in late from a working week. Despite its location and special request for one - no sea view, rooms need a serious upgrade, shower didn't work, bath held together with tec 7, hair drier equivalent to a blow torch, no extractor fan, semi cooked breakfast: ‚?¨170 is exorbitant for the Marine Hotel. I have never complained about a hotel in my life before but I wouldn't like anyone else to have to experience this.

We stayed two nights, a family of 3 split over 2 rooms. Hotel was fine and pleasant, rooms nice and large, my room had a lovely view of Howth. Staff all friendly and generally helpful. Breakfast was good and nicely cooked to order, with out being extensive. A few small items need attention to make the stay even better. Please don't use tasteless processed pre-grated package pizza cheese in a gourmet sandwich - lots of real cheddar available in Ireland. Service in lounge hit and miss, needs bette... Read more

It was nice to be back at The Marine for a couple of days. Room 105 was a nice spacious twin room overlooking the front of the hotel. Ample parking space. Buses and trains within easy walking distance. WiFi good in bedroom. Breakfast was good although kitchen unable to provide an omelette.

Attended a lovely wedding in the hotel and stayed over. For a 3* hotel I thought the room was expensive at ‚?¨165 but when I arrived and seen it it was obvious they take full advantage of wedding guests. The room is 2* at best. Although clean I'd say it has been 30 years since it was decorated. The hair dryer and iron were like something from the 1950's. #Overpriced #AcientDecor #HateBeingRippedOff

Local hotel , have stayed before , staff 2 be fair are excellent in the bar , Guinness is 6/10 , Bar food is mediocre & could do with a Very urgent upgrade to 2017 .... brown bread passed it's due date & prawn cocktail presentation perfect, prawns awful & rubbery except for one ...... some simple tweaks & id imagine the place could be buzzing.... good look guys
