We chose the Aberdeen because it is near the ferry port. We had an early ferry to Wales. Caught in hurricane Ophelia on the Cliffs of Moher we drove back to Dublin a night early and called at the last minute to see if they could take us a night early. We pulled in at 23:30 and were greeted with coffee, tea and biscuits. We unwound as the owner have us the lay of the land. Breakfast is very good and they provide a variety of choices. The service was exceptional and the property charming. The brea... Read more

Wow. Stayed here as part of a Virgin Experience Days trip and what a place. Very lovely gardens and house. Staff very friendly and attentive and the owner always on hand to have a chat and give ideas of what to do in the area. Why 4/5? The only thing I could fault is that the carpets are rather worn in places and could do with replacing. Would definitely stay here again.

Our first 4 nights stay in Dublin was chosen to be at Aberdeen Lodge, purely by chance, we liked the name and the reviews,We were tired after a long flight from Australia and were met by Anne a sheer delight the Hostess with the mostest , Cup of tea before we went up to our rooms, her helping girls took our luggage up while we sat in most comfortable Drawing room sipping our tea, This Lodge has about 26 rooms from memory ,with people from all over the country visiting here, They serve the most B... Great choice for staying in Dublin. The B & B is in a quiet part of town, with easy access to the city center. Servers very helpful, they informed us about the tourist attractions and also of good options for dinner. the breakfast is excellent. The pancakes were delicious. We recommend everyone who wants to know this beautiful country and be well received.

Good; Beautiful area, safe, good parking, really nice staff, good transport links, good breakfast served at your table. Not So Good: The welcome was good with tea or coffee offered and luggage taken to our room. Our room was on the top floor [so be warned if your not good on your feet, you wont make it to your room, no lift] The room was dated, bed was small with old style bedding of sheets and top cover, very heavy, floors creek, one channel on a very dated TV works, shower over bath was power... This was the best B&B we stayed at on our entire Ireland holiday (7 B&Bs throughout the stay). All the staff were very welcoming and we were offered tea, coffee and freshly baked biscuits whenever we walked in the door. Pat was an outstanding host and made the effort to speak with all his guests about their stay and what they were interested in doing. We also appreciated special touches such as bottles (glass) of water in the room. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the best variety we'd s... Read more

Charming guest house with old school feel and service. Fantastic breakfast. Staff are delightful, particularly Fran and Vanessa. Nothing too much trouble. Struggled at first with no kettle in room but got used to calling for "tea for two" ( always complete with homemade cakes...) rooms need a little de-cluttering and a facelift, but still very charming with a touch of 1970's home style cooking and hands on service

Like the majority of posters on Trip Advisor I really liked this excellent accommodation. I stayed recently for two nights and enjoyed it immensely. Location: The property is on Park Ave. a really upmarket suburb of Dublin. It is about a 5 minute walk to the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) railway station which in 8 minutes takes you right into the centre of Dublin. For walking it is about 10 minutes to the quaint village of Sandymount or 15 minutes to the cosmopolitan suburb of Ballsbridge w... Read more
