Pros: Close to beach, Close to some nice restaurants, Close to some tourist spots, nice garden Why I wouldn't go back? 1. The bed and the surrounding mosquito net has a nasty musky smell - not recommended for people with allergies 2. The TV dock, empty vase, creaky cupboards gives you an average lodge feel, but the price is that of a 4-star. 3. Cannot watch TV, unless you remove the mosquito net; and if you remove the net mosquito will suck the life out of you. 4. Bathtub had yellow stains. D... Read more

We booked Ann's residency on a recommendation from a friend and until we got there, we were unsure if our booking had gone through or not. The house with it's well manicured central lawn was lovely. The room was large but averagely furnished. It definitely did not have enough plug points, the wash basin in the bathroom was leaking and the air-conditioner too in the middle of the night, which was a bit annoying. The breakfast was good and the owner quite friendly. They also upgraded us to a delux... Read more

This was our first accommodation on a 26 day holiday of India. You know the feeling you get when they open the door and show you the room (from a 1 to 10, 10 being wow) this was a 2. My wife asked for another room as we were staying for two nights and we got a room at the front of the building which was a big improvement (4). We had this for one night as it was booked for the next night, so we got a room upstairs the second night (3). To be fair to Ann's we picked this accommodation from a list... Read more

We had a lovely stay at Ann's Residency. Our room was clean with lovely old interiors and breakfast was delicious. Ann was very helpful providing guidance about how to get around Kerala and what to see.

My wife and I stayed for just two nights and first impressions were great. Having arrived very late (around 11:30pm) because of flight delays we were shown straight to our outside annexe room. Large with a mosquito net around the bed but very basic. Having stayed in many homestays, both last March and again on this trip, I felt the description of 'Super Deluxe' to be somewhat far of the mark. The general cleanliness was poor and if staying for more than two nights would have certainly moved.... Read more

We stayed for four days in Annā??s Residency in Fort Kochi in just before Christmas. It is well located to the town, and a peaceful place to stay. Ann Fernandez is an excellent host, and helped us with information on the town and travel arrangements. Prior to arrival, we arranged with Ann for an airport pickup, and then after staying in Fort Kochi for five days for travel to Munnar, Thekkady and Alapuzzha. George was our driver, and was waiting for us at Cochin International with his Ambassador ... Read more

Upon entering the house, Ann welcomed me with a beautiful smile. Showed me to my room which was available early. It was like being at home. That said, if U are a gluten intolerant vegetarian, breakfast won't be more than fruit, fresh squeezed juice, coffee/tea. So be prepared to bring your own snacks. Or have an early lunch. Ann mentioned many things to do in the area. Fort Kochin is an area that caters to tourist, so there are lots of shops and sites to see. Be prepared to have full days of ... Read more
