Very unassuming from the outside, but really cool interior. Staff at the front desk were really pleasant and breakfast was very good. The room was spacious and it had a great waterfall shower. Has a nice lounge/bar for relaxing in the evening. We got a little hot chocolate when we arrived too which was the icing on the cake.

This is a great hotel and very centralized. We were within walking distance of loads of shops, restaurants and bars. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The restaurant is great for dinner and the breakfast is the closest to what I consider a typical breakfast than I experienced the entire week I spent in Iceland. Very pleased! The rooms are modern, so modern that the bathroom is walled off by frosted glass. Well, not completely, there's the bottom bit of glass that is not frosted. ... Read more

We had a wonderful time here. Really nice people, very clean, excellent buffet breakfast. The front desk and breakfast staff are outstanding. You can easily walk to any museum, the harbor, the Harpa, or the church, so no need to take the bus unless you have limited capacity for walking. The spa is wonderful, although no one seemed to be able to figure out how to turn on the steambath without help. The lights in the room are a bit dark and it took us a bit to figure them out. Small things in a pl... Read more

The hotel was lovely :-) the staff were great! My room was perfect‚?¶ I have attach photos. I was a solo traveler and thought from the reviews I would get a terrible room but it was actually very nice. There was no air conditioner but there is a little thing in the window that you can open for fresh air as the windows themselves do not open. The temperature in my room was fine. I did have an issue with the hairdryer‚?¶ It stopped working on me‚?¶ But those kind of things happen. I would sugg... Read more

This hotel was fantastic. When we arrived at 1pm our room was not quite ready, we we offered to store our luggage or take a seat in the lounge. We were given a complimentary hot chocolate while we waited which was a lovely surprise. As previous reviewers mention the rooms are small but spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and good facilities. Some people might find the lack of privacy in the bathroom off putting but we soon got over the fact it is a glass box with only the central area frosted gla... Read more

If you're looking for a hotel close to down town Reykjavik then i highly recommend staying here. It is positioned just off the main street where you can find the majority of the cities bars, cafes and shops. The hotel itself is very stylish inside and the rooms are very clean and well designed. The staff are very helpful and polite, especially the reception staff and the bar waiter. Breakfast is served until 10am and i found a large choice of hot and cold foods. I would definitely recommend an e... Read more

Located right on the harbour front this hotel is in a perfect location for visiting the city. Just a few minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants. We were very lucky to get a sea view room. Rooms were compact but extremely clean. All the staff were very friendly especially in the Sky Bar.

Great location and easily accessible by car and on foot. Only downside is the noise from a local club on Friday and Saturday nights until late the following morning - 4.00 - 5.00 a.m! Bathroom in the bedroom is also a bit off putting as there is really no privacy at all provided by the frosted glass separation of one room from the other. No extractor in the bathroom means that all the mirrors steam up making normally straightforward tasks - like putting contact lenses in - somewhat difficul... Read more

An excellent centrally located hotel in Reykjavik. The staff were welcoming and the boutique style hotel was well furnished with contemporary fittings throughout. The modern room was perfect for our one night stay and the buffet breakfast in the morning had plenty of options to choose from. Happy hour runs in the bar from 4-6 and is well worth taking advantage of. Definitely recommend!

We stayed in this hotel for a week as a base to explore Reykjavik and the surrounding area. The location was perfect for exploring Reykjavik, a short walk to all the museums, concert hall, bars, restaurants and other sights, and tour operators for exploring further afield picked us up from right outside the hotel. Breakfast is included and provides something for everyone. The room was clean and reasonably sized, bed was comfortable. We had a front facing room which meant it was a little noisy on... Read more
