Great staff. Great location. Very clean. Has a little jym. Great value to the money. Has a grossery store near by and a place to rent bikes and skoiters. Just one thing missing - a big blancket that will be good for 2 people instead of two small blanckets.

Four of us went for a long weekend. Our original hotel was cancelled by the crash of Low Cost Holidays. Found this hotel on trip advisor and was an excellent choice. We walked about 10 minutes from the nearest Metro on the Pest side of the Danube across Elizabeth Bridge. Entering the hotel from a hot outside immediately hit by cold air con. Just the ticket. We had room on 5th and 1st floors. Ours on 1st was convenient, light and airy and very clean. We had no opening windows but good air con. Ou... Read more

Thoroughly recommend this lovely little hotel. Very pleasant & helpful people running it. Very clean. Nice cooked breakfast. Nothing any trouble for them. Restaurants recommended nearby. Taxi ordered & very prompt, nothing to complain about.

My partner and I stayed at the Orion hotel for 4 nights and it was the perfect place to stay. The location is excellent on the Buda side of the city close to the white bridge and the chain bridge so you have easy access to the pest side. The hotel has plenty of good restaurants nearby and is very close to the Citadel and Buda castle which are both well worth a visit. The staff really make this hotel they are lovely and are willing to help with anything, nothing was too much trouble and we were a... Read more

Staff were very helpful and polite. Really made our staff welcome! The rooms have aircon and tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge with drinks to buy. Highly recommended for a quieter area within walking distance of buda and pest and especially the citadel. The breakfasts were lovely and the egg's very well cooked.

The room is very comfortable but the airconditioning is rubbish. It only slightly cools the room and when it is 30+ outside it really needs to be better. The beds are very big and very comfortable and there is plenty of cupboard space. Breakfast is very good especially the omelette, also reasonably priced at ?8. The hotel is well placed being only a 10 minute walk in either direction to all shops, restaurants and sightseeing that you could ask for. The only down side as I can see is that ther... Read more

For a city hotel room was quite large and roomy. Twin beds and en-suite bathroom. Towels changed daily. Very clean. Tea/coffee making facilities (added to every day). Small refrigerator (contents at very reasonable prices). Breakfast was fabulous - fruit, cheese, meats, white/brown bread/rolls, yoghurt, coffee, tea, orange juice, water, scrambled/fried eggs. But it is the staff who make this hotel stand out. They were all so pleasant, helpful and friendly. It felt very comfortable and safe stayi... Read more

I spent three nights here - a one, and then a week later, two. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here, and I was made to feel welcome straight away. My room, on the top floor, had a small balcony, so I had views of the city. The mini bar, refreshments and bathroom were well stocked and clean. The a/c was efficient. The breakfast is very good value, with a large selection of hot and cold items. I will stay here again. There was a sauna and fitness room, but I was too busy exploring... Read more

I stayed at Hotel Orion for five nights during a trip for dental work. I've stayed at several Budapest hotels over the years and this hotel has just become one of my faves. When you're travelling for dental work, you enjoy different aspects of a hotel than other guests might. Spa facilities, gyms, etc often can't be used due to the treatment you're receiving, so the extra money you pay for hotels which provide those facilities, goes to waste. On top of that, there are days you simply want to sta... Read more

A Mercure level type hotel (used to be a Best Western Hotel) situated 1 street away from the Danube and the Elizabeth Bridge. Ideally suited for tourism with the Hop on and hop off bus stop only 5 minutes down the road. Despite it closeness, there is no view of the river as situated behind a large building. The hotel is in average state, but shortly it will need revamping. Shop around as often there are large specials with the famous Gelbert hotel was only about US$ 20 more per night with non-ri...
