We came here as part of a cruise ship excursion. I was excited to go cause ther pictures looked so nice, but upon arrival we were disappointed by the fact that the resort seemed nearly deserted. We ate lunch, walked around the lagoon(?) And left early. We were a bit as surprised to be charged to use thed pool and by the fact that there was no beach. The resort is pretty, just weirdly deserted.

We booked this excursion with Royal Caribbean. We thought this was a beach on the Caribbean. It is not! It is a lagoon or pond or I'm not sure? There is a small beach but it is not connected to the actual ocean front. There is no access to the actual Caribbean Sea.The pictures make the pool seem like it's much closer to the so called beach area. The staff is very friendly! I have been to other beaches on Roatan that are much nicer mostly because they are actual beaches. We left early at our own e... Read more

Hotels.com recommended this place to my son and I, as they had free shuttle service to and from the airport and Ferry. The driver picked us up at the airport right on time with a sign in hand with our name on it and no waiting at all. I asked him to take us to the Tigo cellphone shop so I could get a sim card for my phone to avoid the massive rip-off AT&T plan back home. He happily did it even and waited with no complaint for 45 minutes while Tigo finally got us our sim cards and installed them... Read more

We visited Parrot tree resort while on a private tour of that side of the island. Had a very nice, leisurely lunch with our toes in the sand overlooking beautiful clear water. Husband had a burger which he enjoyed. Two of us had soup. My seafood soup was OK but nothing special.

The Parrot Tree Beach Resort was more than we expected!! After booking the resort I read many reviews and most were not too good... Well, I don't know what happened to them but we had the time of our lives! The resort is beautiful ???????????. The pool is huge and very relaxing. Our room was beautiful, with travertine floors and granite counters!! Really good A/C too!! We felt like royalty. The room wifi needs improvement, but the restaurant had really good reception. The restaur... Read more

I had a great time with my family. We were a pretty large group but we were accommodated and served quickly. The location is beautiful, they have a small salt water pool that is amazing. They have small canoes and paddles for the kids. There's a nice bar w very polite staff. Our food was great and the drinks were good too. This place is very private, nice, and quite unlike the west side.

We visited for lunch at the Palapa Bar and Grill and enjoyed the venue, service and food. I had the ribs, though tasty it was only a half rack, so a bit small. My GF had the red snapper with plantain and rice and beans. That was out of this world. All in all we'd come back, though a bit expensive. About $70usd for two. There was hardly anybody here.

This is for the bar and restaurant we attempted to eat at: The sign on the road clearly stated "Public Welcome!" So in we went, walked around a bit then decided to have a bite to eat. Passed through the bar area. There were 6 people behind the bar. We sat at a table, and watched several people go from the bar to tables out on the sand. They walked right past our table, never acknowledging our presence! If they were busy, someone could have said in passing "We're shorthanded but will be with ... Read more

sitting/laying areas- torn up,stained/dirty; food - poor quality; waitress who took our order & waited on us by the water was amazing-spoke english-and very polite; trash & debris in lagoon-we are talking garbage actual garbage like bottles wrappers plastic glass etc; pool had a film on top/slide was not working, and if I cant see more than 3" into the water I don't go in; gopro/scuba was a bust as there was only 1 tiny fish to be found-lagoon is manmade so the most interesting thing we saw was ... This was a beach stop on an island tour of Roatan, and it was a very nice break. There is a lagoon near the ocean, where you can swim or snorkel. There are also boats and kayaks for rent. The beach has lounge chairs, hammocks and several tables under thatched roofs for a break from the sun. We were only here a couple of hours, but it looks like a great sport for a few days to get away in the Caribbean sun and sand. One of the couples on our trip said they were going to plan a trip to come ... Read more
