Location

When you first see the island of Bora Bora, with a lagoon comparable to an artist`s palette of blues and greens, it is love at first sight. Dreamers from around the world have laid claim to this island where the citadel-like Mount Otemanu breaks through the sky. Lush tropical banks and valleys bloom with hibiscus, while palm-covered motu circle the dazzling lagoon like a fragile necklace. Perfect white-sand beaches give way to emerald waters where tropical fish animate the coral gardens as they greet the giant manta rays. This could  easily be construed as the heart of the romantic universe, where leisurely resorts and spas dot the island with overwater bungalows, thatched roof villas, and mythical ambience.

Let me begin by saying the tropical paradise that is Bora Bora, allows for many allowances with regard to accommodations as the goal is to be outdoors not indoors. That said, guests at Le Meridien compromise nothing! No details is overlooked. From the minute you arrive in Bora Bora, the Le Meridien staff is there to greet and direct you to their transport boat only steps away. The staff at the Starwoods Guest Services desk made early check-in quick and easy. The over-the-water bungalows are f... Read more

We went for a honeymoon. Le Meridien was relaxing and beautiful, lots of fun things to do at the beach. We stayed in an overwater bungalow. Our favourite place to eat was Le Tipanie where we could watch the fishes while we ate.

I can't say enough about our trip to Bora Bora's Le Meridien hotel. From the moment we arrived at the airport and were greeted by our boat driver we felt at easy and relaxed. Of course I will be bias but the location of the hotel on the island is the best you could ask for. Waking up to a view of mountain everyday at that angle made our trip complete. We toured around the island a few times and the view from Le Meridien is the BEST! Also the beaches were out of this world, again with a view... Read more

My husband and I just completed a three night stay at this wonderful resort! It was an adjunct to a Windstar cruise in Tahiti and the Tuamotu Islands. Oh my...had we known it would be so special, we would definitely have booked a longer stay. The premium over water bungalow was very well appointed and private. We were concerned about the weather since we booked during "rainy season" but we had three absolutely perfect days! The only negative to report is the price of meals at the resort. ... Read more

Staff - front desk: all are friendly, helpful and professional. We were forced to stay one more night due to the closure of Tahiti airport and all flights were cancelled. We were grateful for all the staff who helped us make all the international calls to change all our upcoming air tickets/hotel bookings and stuff. For that we are grateful. And when we were still not sure about the air tickets status for the flight from Bora Bora to Papeete, they have already managed to out us all on the after n... Read more

I just got home from my FANTASTIC holiday in Bora Bora. I was there with my girlfriend were we stayed at the Le Meridien for 7 nights in an Over-water bungalow (312). We were there late December - Early January. Firstly the room, It was INCREDIBLE, being able to jump off the deck into the water that was about 3 meters deep was an amazing experience! There are bungalows that have a better view of the mountain, but considering how much time you are actually in your bungalow you might be better sav... Read more

We stayed in an overwater bangalow facing the lagoon and the mountains. It was one of the most amazing sunsets we haver ever seen! Hotel welcomed us with a very elegant reception, wine, air conditioning on, people came with us explaining installations etc. We truly enjoyed their cuisine, special compliments to the Tipanie restaurant. I would add some more French wines to their wine list, but options available were fine. All sports equipments that we used were readily available and functioned... Read more

We just returned from our honeymoon in Tahiti. While in Bora Bora, we stayed at Le Meridien and ultimately found that it was a great deal for what we experienced. PROS: 1. THE VIEW -- The best on the island. Le Meridien is located between the St. Regis and Intercontinental resorts on the outer islet of Bora Bora. The view is ABSOLUTELY stunning. You cannot beat this view. 2. THE BUNGALOWS -- We stayed in an end of pontoon, overwater bungalow with a Mountain View -- AMAZING. The bungalows we... Read more

Pros-Overwater hut (ours was lagoon facing) was everything we desired and more. The glass bottom was great! The room was bigger than we thought and well organized. I confess I loved the bathtub with a view. Room was clean and had everything we needed and more. Food was also good, turtle hospital interesting, and enjoyed the easy snorkeling around lagoon and huts. Cons- Breakfast...if I am being critical could use more variety and one dinner, one night, service was slow. Snorkeling around ... Read more

The best hotel ever into a paradise (BORA BORA). I spent 7 days for my honeymoon and everything was perfect. We stayed in an overwater bungalow in Jan 2017. Only dinner food choice wa not so extensive. Keep in mind that is a luxury hotel and basically nothing is cheap.
