Really love the strategic location of this hotel. From the window of the hotel, you can have a fantastic view of the beach front... Fabulous... Lots of cafes and restaurant along the road and it's about 15 mins walk to the local market...It's also a 5 mins taxi ride from the railway station. The tourist shopping street is just a few streets away too. The room is huge but there's no air condition as it's quite hot during then in Oct. The downside of this strategic location is that you can hear t... Read more

Le Royal ...avec Fromage! My first visit to the cote d'azure back in 97 I'd come to Medam in Cannes to try and sign a Record deal with a Japanese record company . The Asia stock market crash put pay to that and the deal never happened. However my disappointment soon dissipated as I was seduced by my surroundings. From Nice to Monaco, Antibes to St Tropez I was in love with the South France! So anyway here I am back again to watch my beloved Spurs play Monaco in the Campions league care of... Read more

The hotel is in a perfect location. The architecture is nice and conspicuous as opposed the floors which need a renovation. The hotel staff are kind. You miss the absence of a fridge and,a kettle in your room. . The breakfast is meager. WIFI is good but it's annoying that you have to sign in frequently.

The staff were helpful and any complaint attended to. One concern is the fire safety, the maids leave the fire doors propped open when cleaning a corridor. The mid corridor fire doors are always open, never closed at night. We had a fire alarm one night and only a few guests responded, the night porter had no clue what to do, it was a false alarm but if a real emergency ????

We chose Le Royal for its proximity to Messena Square, just a walk to all the fun of the carnival without the inconvenience of thousands of people under the balcony. We had a sea facing room on the first floor, perfect for our needs. The place would benefit from an injection of creativity and cash in the interior styling. The excellent staff deserve it.

Was a bit dissapointed with this hotel for the price paid for the room, overall better than poor but not really average. Was happy with the location and the lovely sea view to wake up too, and have that great sea view from my comfy bed was very nice, little boats bobbing about and so easy for a morning dip just over the road. Room was spacious and refurbed with its own small balcony but still wasn't really luxurious but ok for a 3 star. Probably past it's sell by date now but you can see it once... Read more

Considering it's excellent location & the fact that we had booked three months in advance, I was expecting more. The hotel is outdated & the rooms need updating. Our 'city view' room had absolutely no view what so ever apart from a pointed tin roof fight in front of the window. The gentleman in reception was very accommodating (thank you) & did move us, however the price does not justify the quality of the room. The pillows were the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel room & on our second ... Read more

A very old fashion hotel, rooms need updating. Door lock did not work, very flat pillows (cushions) give you a stiff neck after sleeping. All you need is for david niven to walk out of the bar to make the scene complete, hang on isnt that sydney greenstreet sitting there reading a paper.
