Grand Hotel is an old hotel in a good location right on the corner of Talaat Harb and 26th July Streets. Some of the rooms have been refurbished which makes staying here more pleasant. They have rooms with balconies overlooking a produce market in an alley off Talaat Harb. Breakfast is included and there is also an on-site restaurant. The hotel have good location in the downtown area, it is near almost all important streets and areas. There is no hotel parking however there is parking near by in the street that is overcrowded at day time and is good at night. The rooms are clean and neat but very old decoration with old CRT television which has almost gone from all hotels worldwide. There are no extra electricity plugs to charge your phone or laptop; you have to take of either the TV or fridge to power your device. The toilet... Read more

At the hotel the rooms are still large and spacious but now even nicer following redecoration. Likewise the public spaces. Also the staff were so friendly and helpful and it was great to see the old faces still employed there. As far as the local area goes, life goes on a... Read more

Well placed if you want to be downtown and great if you're coming in on the train or bus to Tahrir but always remember that you get what you pay for in a city centre. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom functions but this isn't a fancy place to stay and the down town noise can take a couple of nights to get used to. However, the staff are nice, and helpful, even if two porters did nearly come to blows over who would carry our cases, and the old fashioned charm of the lifts, the facade etc... Read more
