This was a very cheap (flights and bed and breakfast) mid week break in what was described as a 3 star hotel. It was in fact more similar to a hostel. The welcome at reception left A LOT to be desired in that there was no welcome. A young man in jeans who never made eye contact, and spoke only to say fill out this (personal details form) and this is your room key. Our room was behind the reception so we had noise from that. It was also on a very busy noisy main road. The room was an adequate ... Read more

After arriving at St George Hotel our first room was on the 5th floor & unacceptable, we got another room which wasn't much better, the shower head holder was broken, grout & tiles were dirty, toilet pan wasn't fixed to the floor so it moved about each time it was used, only hand towels available, room was never vacuumed, no coffee making facilities, double bed with 2 single duvet & 1 large pillow & 1 small pillow, very noisy outside, the day we were checking out the room we noticed small whit... I arrived to the hotel with my wife and 2 kids, it was already night and at the reception we were told that the hotel doesn't have our reservation in the system, even though we showed them a vaucher. We were sent to another hotel which is located far from both St.george hotel and from the city center. The recptionist did not even called a taxi to take us to the other hotel, but instead told us how to go there by ourselves. When we arrived to the other hotel we were told that our 2 rooms were lo... This hotel was booked through the German railway system and turned out to be quite charming. Prague is at first daunting, little is in English, but a helpful ( though scan English speaking) receptionist directed us towards the local transport system which was quite easy to deal with - once getting around was sorted out. The rooms are not of the highest standard but are clean and though small, very well kept. Towels are changed daily though the room itself ( the carpet) remains unswept. The bathr... Read more

We booked a room in last minute coming in to town late in the evening really tired after traveling all day. We booked a double room with a breakfast. The linen was stained, had holes in them. The carpet, the furniture and the walls were dirty. The room was incredibly loud with constant heavy traffic. The breakfast was the worst i have ever had anywhere until today. The boiled eggs were cold, obviously not cooked on the same morning but the previous day or even before that. Scrambled eggs smell... Read more

We were booked in by Thomas Cook in the Prague Centre Superior Hotel. For reasons unknown to us we were sent to the St.George, a very short walk away. When we presented ourselves at the reception at St.George we were met by Gregor who looked like he swallowed a wasp. Clearly Gregor does not like his job because he looked at us with contempt. No word of welcome, no eye contact, no smile, no nothing. He said he could not find us in the system and when we told him we were sent here he told us to g... Read more

The hotel is nice, clean and cozy. The room was big enough for two people and the bathroom was clean. We didn't have breakfast there and didn't use any specific services. We asked for a twin room via email before the arrival and the staff answered quickly. The only problem is wi-fi: it only works well in the hall and in the corridors. We were forced into using roaming internet in our room.

Cheap accomodation, clean everything , we stayed in march so there was cold days and even a little snow, but room was cozy, even do it was on top floor. Staff was friendly (to be in Praha) and even helped to store our luggage safely before check inn. I really wonder abour the hotel´s history as both me and my girl saw some strange things at night... cant tell if its haunted or just a normal old place...

The hotel is great. We had a very nice time there: big room, clean, nice buffet breakfast, kind people. It's not in the downtown, but it's about 20 minutes walking from the old square. Prague is beautiful, so we didn't mind to walk this distance at all. The only problem is the internet connection. It's available, but it worked for a few minutes and then disappeared or just stop working.
