We stayed at the Arenal Springs Resort and Spa for two days as we were going to do some tours. We drove from Liberia Airport to the hotel. It was late at night and raining, so it was a pleasurable sight to be greeted by hotel staff with two juice cocktails in hand. After settling in, we ate at the Italian restaurant. The food was okay but too pricey. Staff were friendly and always ready to help. Our room was nice, clean, with a beautiful view of Arenal Volcano. There is A/C. Our room was a bit... Read more

The property is lush, very well maintained, and the staff was very attentive. They must have read a previous review because everyone was upbeat and smiling. We took a hired car from San Jose airport to the resort (3 hours) and stayed 3 days taking tours in the area each day. Our adult daughter planned the trip with pre-arranged tours. But I had different interests and the staff was very good about recommending optional activities for me. I chose going out on a guided ATV tour while my wife ... Read more

The place is about a 3 hour drive from west coast. Pool, hot springs, hammocks, yoga, gym, nice and clean rooms, beautiful view of the volcano from the whole resort, nice staff, good food. Not super luxury, but it was more than nice enough. The place is a sprawling grounds with duplex little bungalow type rooms.

The hotel did not start off well in our estimation when the junior suite turned out to be a small standard room with a bench and a small stool. To call it a junior suite without even a chair is misleading and possibly deceitful. The overall outside areas were good and the pool area very nicely done. The overall look was very good. However food was expensive, even more so than in the rest of Costa Rica.

Upon arrival, we were met at the door with a fruity drink. We were treated like royalty from the beginning to the end of our stay. The views at this resort are nothing short of incredible. Whether you look around the property or directly at the volcano, it's just beautiful. We were also greatly impressed by the cleanliness of everything. We enjoyed our little bungalow, which was stocked with some free beverages and fruit our first day. The only complaint I had about our room is that it didn... Read more

Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff with a refreshing fruit drink. We stayed in a junior suite, which was very private and provided an excellent view of the volcano. The suite was well decorated, the bathroom was large and included a tropical garden in the shower. The resort grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the hot springs felt delightful. We enjoyed the swim up bar, sushi, and found the breakfast buffet delicious. Wifi is excellent everywhere on the resort property. The staff wa... Read more

Semi detached bungalows were in very nice grounds and the pool and springs area was very attractive. Food in the hotel restaurant was good although expensive, would have needed a car or taxi to get to the nearest town. The idea to have the rain water flow down the back wall of the bathroom seems to be to have been a foolish idea given the amount of rain the area expeinces. No chance of getting any sleep as the rain hits the plants and the bottom of the trough, as well as on the roof

Clouds and rain did not get in the way of a gorgeous three days at Arenal. I've wanted to see the rain forest for much of my 60 years, I was not disappointed. Glorious, lush, beautiful, stunning - words just don't do this ecosystem justice. Bring Ponchos, go on the hanging bridges walk, see the waterfalls, and soak in the diversity of Costa Rica. The resort was lovely, a great place to relax before and after adventures. The thermal pools nice (although I will say the thermal pool in the mas... Read more

Arenal Springs Resort was pure joy! The room and grounds were beautiful, and the food delicious. The sushi at the swim up bar was so good we had it twice. I have to mention Daniel at the front desk. I had left my backpack at our previous hotel, and Daniel would not give up until it was recovered. His kind heart kept him on the phone until the pack was retrieved. I can't thank him enough. We practiced yoga at the resort in the early morning in a most beautiful setting. The teacher was lovely... Read more

Absolutely beautiful! The hot springs was phenomenal. The massage I got was perfect! The food was amazing! The service was perfect. If we come back to Costa Rica I will absolutely stay here and would recommend anyone to stay here! All of the staff speak English very well, too.
