My family and I stayed here when we went on a mission trip; needless to say we were very tired during our stay, haha. But they had housekeeping come in everyday (and nothing feels better than to lay down on fresh, clean sheets after a hard day of work). The employees were very kind and attentive to our needs, Ricardo (who was one of the employees) made sure we had everything we needed during their breakfast buffet (which guests will be very lucky to meet and be served by Ricardo). Would love to ... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in June. We were on the first part of our honeymoon. It was a comfortable hotel. The staff was fabulous. The units were inviting. It is a different feel then the normal hotel in the U.S. I thought it was wonderful.

Rooms were poor. We had two rooms. The first room had a spacious spa tub, yet when we went to turn on hot water only cold water would come out. Absolutely no warm water in the first room. We called and was moved to another room, same issue. Rooms were severely outdated. Just because you add a few appliances does not mean you modernized the room. Front desk staff and restaurant staff were very friendly and nice. The restaurant food was standard options you'd typically find in Costa Rica. The only... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights from 25th to 28th december with our 2 daughters of 8 and 11 years old. Rooms are nice, clean and with everything you need. Breakfast is really good with a lot of choice between sweet and salad. Waiters are very polite expecially one of them who is similar to Cristiano Ronaldo. Also the restaurant is ok. One night we had a problem with the wc and the boy at the reception gave us a great help to solve the problem quickly. I WILL RECOMMEND to everyone Casa Conde San Jose'!

Daniela at the Cantina was great. Cesar and Jessica at the restaurant were perfect. Everyone at this hotel takes care of the guest. Washer, dryer, full kitchen. No better place for a home base to explore Costa Rica. A walk in the park Saturday, or Sunday morning lets you see many Costa Rican families enjoying life. True Costa Rica.

Just finished spending 10 days at this hotel in late November. It was a great value in San Jose; always clean, fast internet, tremendous value for the daily delicious and plentiful breakfast. Make sure you meet cheerful Ivania and ask her for her special caf√© con leche. The hotel also has a very reasonably priced restaurant where my wife and I ate 7 dinners. If you come here, be sure to ask for Ricardo as your evening waiter. My wife found him to be ‚??charmingly bilingual in Spanish/Engli... Read more

A group of us spent a week here. We loved how the rooms were actually small apartments with each having a private bedroom . We all gathered in one room to play cards a few nights . Our room also had a washer and dryer which was very helpful . The pool is nice .The free breakfast every morning is fantastic ! Fresh fruits , desserts , good coffee ,and, many food choices in a buffet style . A few days they were making great custom omlets for anyone. We always sat at a very nice big table outside, o... Hidden gem tucked in an unsuspecting part of San Jose. We loved the Casa Conde as our last stop on our honeymoon. The rates were very affordable and the service spectacular. The service of the staff far outweighed the lack of interior aesthetics, and the exterior decor and grounds were beautiful. We had dinner at the Casa Conde restaurant and had impeccable service from the staff, particularly Ricardo. He went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon! We had so much fun conversing w... Read more

After reading some negative reviews, I didn't see this hotel as outdated or even 'budget style', we paid £120 for 2 nights for a 2 bedroom apartment, each room with a double bed, kitchen area with washer/drying, oven, kettle etc. A living room with TV, considering how much you would have to pay for this sort of room in the UK or somewhere in Europe very good value. It is out of the way and you do need to drive or get taxis, we stayed here after a busy 3 weeks travelling from Guatemala to San Jo... Read more
