Diego, the hotel Ambassador, made our experience. The rest of the staff could certainly benefit from his level of customer service. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. I would recommend requesting a second level room for much more light. Breakfast was good. Location is a good mix of being by great beaches, accessible to Puerto Viejo, but away from the busy-ness of it all. Rooms as well as hotel were a bit dingy. I was surprised based on all the other reviews.

The two good things first: beautiful vegetation around the hotel buildings and nice place to enjoy the caribbean coast. But everything showed wear and tear. The concept of white rooms is not a smart thing because of the dark sand. When you have white furniture and equipment it is so important to keep everything perfect clean. But it was not. The quality of service was below expectation: the guy at the reception was really unfriendly, breakfast service was very slow and in total it seemed that t... Read more

My wife and I have an excellent experience here. We stayed in November, loved the weather, hotel, and very friendly staff. All of the pics online are very accurate. The rooms are all white and a splash of color is changed every day the room is cleaned. Staff member Eimily was just friendly she will take care of you while relaxing on the beach, enjoying the scenery including sloths in the trees. Jorge helped us out with what we needed. Ana María was just there for us, Diego very friendly and Rah... Read more

The hotel is well located, closed to the beach with all facilities been built with a stylished touch (Reception, swimming pool, patio...). The atmosphere is great and you could belive you are in the midlle of the jungle as nature is everywhere. Our room was spacious with a nice terrace. The bathroom was clean and big but was not as great as the rest of the hotel. We also had a great massage at the spa!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The rooms are clean and pure white with a splash of color. Our balcony was nice to eat outside with the plants. We were located next to the pool, with lots of loud children. The bathroom walls are also extremely thin and you can hear everything through them. The beach across the street is pretty, but we watched 3 out of 5 dogs defecate next to the water, so opted not to swim the ocean. The restaurant is horrible. The food is extremely expensive an... We stayed at this hotel for three nights! The welcome was very familiar and Diego explained us everything! Due to the fact that we had no plan for the upcoming days - we followed the recommendations of Diego and had a wonderful time. (We went to the Cahuita NP with snorkeling and hiking! Unfortunately the tour company did not offer any lunch so Diego organized a very nice lunch box for us.) As we told him that we are very interested in seeing animals like Toucans or Slouths he made a big effor... Read more

We stayed for our Honeymoon and it was perfect. Diego and Anna Marie were amazing. The chef is outstanding as well. We are vegetarians, he was able to create unique meals for us to enjoy.

We couldn??t choose a better place on the Atlantic coast for our special trip. The fact that my european friends could say this was the most beautiful hotel they ever stayed at already says a lot about Le Cameleon, they were amused by the beauty of this hotel and it??s concept. The manager Jorge was extremely accommodating, staff was always available, able to take care of our weirdest requests and incredible friendly, the food was also great. There was one thing we were not impressed with and ... Read more
