We had a blast in our short visit! The concierge Emanuel was wonderful and they were able to book us for everything we wanted to do. Tubing and zip lining with Jonathan, Marvin, and Juanito was a blast! Not only did we feel safe but they were entertaining the whole way. Highly recommend this wonderful resort with an amazing staff. Beautiful views, awesome hot springs, and the most comfortable mattress in Costa Rica!

I visited Rio Perdido with my coworkers from January 28th-February 1st. I have many wonderful things to say about this place which I'll get to in a minute, but the best part by far, was the level of customer service of the employees. I have never had such care and attention by a staff before and I really felt at the end of the trip like these guys were my friends. The front desk staff of Manuel, Mario, and Steven made us feel at home right away and gave tons of helpful tips for our stay. The w... Read more

Great resort. Very small with only 20 bungalows so you never felt crowded at the pools, hot springs or during meals. We loved that we could hike the trails and along the hot springs by ourselves and not be on any time schedule that you would have with an organized tour. In all the different hot springs that we found we always were the only ones there.

I could go on and on about how incredible Rio Period is but I'll try to keep this short! Everything was amazing - the restaurant is delicious, the amenities are really well kept and beautiful (the different temperature pools, the hot springs, the walking paths, etc.), the bungalows/rooms were clean, modern, and also well kept! We didn't do any spa activities unless you count the mud painting by the hot springs. Also, if you like animals as much as my group did, Rio Perdido is great. We saw ho... Read more

We arrived at Rio Perdido a little early than planned and had a warm greeting from Ricardo who took us through the activities - it became apparent then that maybe this was not a place that should have been on our agenda which was primarily birds and wildlife. Rio Perdido is in a dry forest and does not offer the same level of interest to other places in this respect. Our room was not ready but after nearly three hours we had to chase again for the room only to find it had been ready for over an... Read more

I loved every minute at Rio Perdido, staff were outstanding - efficient, chatty, committed & enthusiastic, & the majority pretty well versed in English, I was remembered by name from day one. I was checked in by a helpful, friendly fellow called Roy who set the scene for a great stay. Front office staff were all superb with manager Ricardo & the wonderful Mario particularly outstanding. The hotel is situated within a 600 acre private reserve with just 20 treehouse style bungalows (more planned),... Read more

Stayed here two nights in a very comfortable, clean cabin. The food was very good, the staff was GREAT as they were very courteous and helpful. We went zip lining, a 3 mile hike, white water tubing, swimming in thermal stream, It is a beautiful clean area. I would highly recommend for anyone that's a little adventurous.

I stayed at Rio Perdido for only 1 night because I had limited time after my diving course before my flight home. This is a stunning property. For the price of a Holiday Inn in the UK I got: - To swing an zip line down a canyon and see monkeys and iguanas - To take baths in the thermal river (I hate cold water - this was just wonderful) including the little fish that nibble at your feet - Stay in a luxury little individual cabin with my own huge, incredibly comfortable, bed - Local and healthy...
