The location is fantastic and there are some lovely trails to walk right from the hotel and the tubing is brilliant, but the hotel itself was underwhelming, horribly American and only catering for Americans. Food was average and over priced and there were begging bowls everywhere for tips. Not good

This hotel has great resources. Its big and the restuarant is good. The pool is good. There is loads to do and the hotel organises an amazing amount of activities in the area including hikes bike rides etc. One quibble. The rooms are pretty basic, and not as luxurious as the one showed in the brochure/site

This former ranch converted into a hotel has fairly basic rooms set slightly away from the main building and restaurant which are also set apart. Room was clean but the curtains were thin and let in light and only two pillows were provided on the double bed. No hair dryer in room. Furniture was dated. Large shower room with an annoying step we kept tripping over. Breakfast was good. More than adequate for a one or two night stay in this area. The hotel offers a number of interesting activities ... Welcomed warmly at reception and informed of location of room and the hacienda's facilities and whereabouts of spa, adventure centre, pool, bar and restaurant etc etc. As part of our stay activities were included which lived up to our expectations; the team of staff were on hand to help and make sure we were safe and had the best of fun during zip lining, river tubing and horse riding. The breakfast, lunches and dinners whether buffet or al la carte menu were super and with plenty of choice, an... Read more

This is a hotel near the National Park with lots to do including riding, forest trails hot springs and white water tubing. The rooms are not as the good as the one advertised (the honeymoon suite we were told!) but are not bad. The bathrooms are a bit small but adequate. The buffet is a bit dull but we had a good private al carte dinner organised by the manager as compensation for a screw up with our transport back from the hot springs. This is a self contained experience as it is 21 Kimā??s fro... Read more

Plenty of outdoor activities surrounded by outstanding nature. You can go hiking, mountain biking. swiming in the river near a waterfall, canopy, and many more exciting activities. The restaurant needs to improve in variety and quality, breakfast was good though. The bar needs some more entertainment.

Great room, big, comfortable beds, drying line in shower, big shower, very clean, the hotel complex is very nice, they got security, late arrival (after midnight) was no problem, free coffee in room, huge amount of activities (partly free of charge). Breakfast was amazing one day, the other day just average. Dinner in the restaurant was not so good, everything tasted the same, we were quite disappointed after we saw their breakfast. However, food was fresh. There are no other alternatives arou... Read more

I am amazed at the postive reviews this hacienda gets. The only good thing about it are the staff and the location. So here goes: rooms - very basic, no hair dryer, no hooks to hang clothes and towels, two coat hangers, poor bathroom lighting, poor drainage in showers. Food: very expensive and poor. I had beef fajitas, they were tough, cold, horrible tortilla, and the chips were limp, GREY AND COLD! However the wood fired pizzas were deemed to be OK, crust was crispy. Good wine selection but at ... Read more

This place is amazing. You wake up in the morning and are surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. The staff here is very friendly and the service is impeccable. The breakfast spread is delicious and I would love to stay here again.
