From the check in to the check out, Hotel Vista las Islas, was amazing. The location, perched high with amazing views, beautiful flowers, unbelievable pool, and nothing around but wildlife. The room was breath taking. Fresh flowers/greens galore. Loved that the room was air conditioned, yet the bathroom, rather than a glass window was just a screen. Even the shower had an amazing view of the Tortuga Islands. It felt like you were showering on the tree tops! Our stay was spectacular. Enjoye... Read more

Unfortunately the Hotel is run down and the grounds are not well kept up--lots of trash. The rooms need a lot of maintenance--our fans did not rotate correctly, the shower was falling apart, the front door had problems. Also you are a captured audience in terms of where to eat, which would be fine except the prices were exorbitant and the food poor. The owner, his daughter, and Juan Carlos offered great service at every opportunity. Also Juan Carlos took us on an unforgettable nighttime ka... Read more

My wife and I spent 2 blissful days here for our wedding anniversary. The most beautiful setting, great room. Exceptional food and very attentive staff. Nothing is a problem. The pool area is very relaxing and exactly what you need. We've already booked for next year.

Wonderful location in the middle of the jungle, yet minutes away from Paquera. On a hill overlooking the beach. Tomas and Anja are wonderful hosts. The free breakfast was amazing. Traditional Costa Rican food with different things to try every day. The fresh fish and fresh banana splits are a must have for dinner. The howler monkeys outside our room and the pool were a real treat. They upgraded our room so we had an unobstructed view of the jungle. Any room would be nice and have a great view. ... Read more

We did all our excursions & had several meals at this hotel. All were wonderful. Very warm, friendly & attentive staff/owners...especially Anja who went above & beyond to make sure our family had a fantastic vacation & Pura Vida experiences! Would highly recommend Juan as a guide...especially for the night bioluminescence kayaking & Tortuga Island snorkeling/boat/beach day. Spectacular setting & views from the bar, restaurant & infinity pool.

It's the rain season and we've found out that here that means max two hours rain and than sunshine again. So yesterday we were cooling off with boys in the pool when it started to thunder on the Pacific. The sky turned grey and we could see the rain front on the water. A magical view over the lovely bay at this great place with its excellent kitchen. By the way no worries we got the concept of water and lightning not working so well together. Therefore we've learned our boys how to estimat... Read more

This hotel was a pleasant surprise . It sits nestled in a mountain providing gorgeous views of the surrounding terrain. The infinity pool was well appreciated as none of the nearby beaches offered very welcoming waters. We went in July, which is considered their "winter", so the nearby beaches (as I was told) are much clearer and beautiful during their summer/prime season, which is December-May. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, offering any advice they can about the surrounding area... Read more
