We had a room that was more like a suite. Separate bedroom area with a iving room with couch, coffee table, desk separated from the bedroom by a free-standing room divider with a TV that rotated to view from the living room or bedroom. Nice bathroom with large tub and separate shower. Bathroom has a full glass wall with frosted glass door. I know the glass door might present a problem for some people using the bathroom at night when someone is trying to sleep in the bedroom, however, it wa... Read more

Old hotel with rooms recently remodeled. Stayed in room 1103, which was very large. Looked like two smaller rooms were used to make a larger suite. Breakfast was okay- nothing special. Others in our party who stayed in room 1105 had a great deal of mold in shower. The location was in a business/residential district, which was a 20-30 minute walk to Bund or shopping. Subway metro was 3 blocks away. So if raining you need to take a taxi. Also ride to PVG airport took 1.5 hours and cost 240 Y... Read more

Luxury hotel with great amenities and a huge 25m indoor pool which is unheated. I swam a 1500m freestyle channeling my inner Katie Ledecky (breathing every stroke!) because it was so cold. I bet I had a fast time! Bit dizzy and shaking upon finishing. Uncrowded I must say (only me). Standing in a hot shower for 15 minutes helped restore my proper body temperature. You would think they could heat their pool somewhat for a touring masters swimmer!

Very spacious luxury room. Stayed for 2 nights as part of the cruise package. Great choice as the location was very accessible to everything. Top floor revolving restaurant where you can view all across the city and beautiful at night where all the buildings were lit up. Amazing buffet breakfast but seems like lunch is also being served. Excellent food also served on the second floor restaurant. Unfortunately early reservation on the 3 restaurants in this hotel are recommended as we were not abl... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of our group tour of China. The Plus Points Our rooms were ready and our tour guide handed our room keys. The room was reasonably spacious and the bath room was clean with average shower. The room had a kettle and a supply of green tea but black tea was not available. We had to contact the room service for coffee. The hotel is located about 15 minute walk from The Bund and there are a plenty of shops and restaurants around. There was fair bit of buil... Read more

Large and nice lobby. Spacious room. Hard beds, but probably standard in Asia. Wall-to-wall carpet which I am not so fond of, but slippers was included. Flat screen TV, safe, refrigerator, hairdryer, free wifi. 2 free bottles of water every day. Breakfast okay. On the top floor there is a revolving restaurant with great view over the city. We wanted to have drinks only and were told to come back after 9 pm. We didn´t go that night, but tried the night after at 9.30 pm, but then it was closed. O... Read more

We stayed two nights as part of our tour of china (mercury holidays). On arrival we were given our keys to room 826, a well appointed room with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was served in a small ground floor restaurant, usual fayre although the hot food could have been hotter. On the top floor there is a revolving restaurant that apparently gives great views across the city, we did not try it as we were eating out in a local restaurant. The hotel has a good location around 20-30 ... Read more

Great location. (Now, keeping in mind that Shanghai is a city of over 24 million people, great location means you can get easily, with less than 10 USD, in the main points of interest.). Excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, VERY few people speak any English so having a guide is a good idea.

First hotel on China tour. Really comfy beds. External rooms facing road a little noisy but still able to get a good nights sleep. Princes bar across the road is a good place to have a beer/drink after a busy day touring. There is also a supermarket for those late night snacks to keep you going. Breakfast is good.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The lobby is large and looks nice. The food was excellent Our room had a moldy shower curtain (others in our group did also) The hair dryer was broke. The location is only OK...it is quite a walk to shopping or the river. English was a challenge for most of the staff.
